I can't seem to obtain the content in iniation into hermetics and elementalism, as it says failed to recognize system connection, and provides a blank screen.

Are you referring to the link to "Initiation Into Hermetics" on this page?  http://vsociety.net/wiki/Magick_eBooks

If so, considering that it works for me, I would assume you either have a browser or network problem, or you need to download Adobe Reader.  If you're referring to a different pdf, then you'll have to be more specific.
