Get an image editor. Depending on the image editor, you will have to go through different menus, but you should have to either 'scale' it, or 'resise the image' (not the canvas).

Do you have photoshop?
If so, you can resize your image by going to "Image" at the top of the screen, and from there to "Image Size"... Once you have that open, just put in the size you would like it to be.
And if you dont have photoshop, download it! (Just because it's a great thing to have) =P.

Haha, Vitamyst, you pirate...

If anybody anywhere needs images resized and can't get the right stuff to do it, or just don't know how, they can PM me and I'll get it done for you, no charge.

the older photoshop (version 3 or 4 or something around there) is freeware.

Quicktime picture viewer does it pretty handily. You have to actually copy the resized image and paste it into something like MS paint before you can save it, though, which is a pretty bitchy way for a program to operate if you ask me... The Gimp is also nice, though it's generally a cumbersome process learning how to do anything with it.

Also, if you have the original image, (in other words, if you have a medium-sized image you want to transform into an icon) just go into MS paint, go to picture attributes, set the size to whatever you want, paste the original image, and ask not to re-size the canvas. That's a really easy way to make your own icons as long as the original image is medium-sized.

Is it just me or is the 80x80 thing a pain in the ass to find a picture for? I understand that if it wasn't small it would take longer to load each page, but 80x80 pictures are tough to get your hands on, and time comsuming to edit.

(And yes i know i still did it, but you should of seen this uber cool image that was around my little tree icon before edit it.)

Yeah. 100x100 would be a more workable size; though obviously it's possible to cope with 80x80 with cropping and resizing and shit like that.
