Hey everyone, my new college uses some panda Gatedefender software for it's internet network, aside of it having crappy av. Its ben blocking out p2p downloads and blocked applications from downloading meaning i cant install MSDN here. Everytime i try connect to the veritas chatroom through IRC, it keeps giving host exception errors. Is there an altermative to get into the chatroom?

Or, if you only want to get past the firewall for Veritas try http://www.sorcery.net/component/option,com_wrapper/Itemid,416/ it runs through your browser which means proxy firewalls don't block it.
