I'm not sure if this has been suggested before, but does anyone else agree with me in my thinking that the online list time limit should be lessened from 30 minutes to something like 5 minutes so it's a more accurate gauge on who is actually online at the time in question?

I posted a mentee application in the section where people are supposed to register for mentors, but my post was deleted. Is there a reason for that?

Your application was not deleted, it was simply moved somewhere that you cannot see (the Mentors board).

I see the logic behind what you're saying, and I'm sure that if it can be done this suggestion will be taken under advisement. That said, I am not particularly bothered if it is a 30 minute refresh, as if I wanted to contact someone, I would not simply wait until they were active to do so. If I wanted to contact them directly, I would use the chatroom.

I brought this point up to kobok not so long ago in the chat. He stated that 5 minutes is not an accurate enough measure because some people actually take that long to write their run-of-the-mill posts. 30 minutes does seem like an accurate guage to me and if you look at the online list you'll see names closer to the right are not as active as the ones on the left. If someone who you wish to contact is the very last name on the right of the list you might as well assume that they are no longer online.
