Tarot Class

Last year I planned to co-host a cartomancy class with Solstice and Venus. Things immediately fell through due to personal disagreements, but I would still like to hold the class. If anyone is interested, please notify me or post here. I want to make sure that there are Veritasians interested in this subject before I proceed with any plans. Experience with tarot is always a bonus, but the class will be intended for students of any skill level, whether they own a deck or not.

I am interested, but I haven't any deck at all, neither I have experience with Tarot. But if the lessons proceed, I could buy a deck.

As long as you have a deck of regular playing cards for poker, etc, you will be able to participate with the class.

Which decks and formats (layings) will be discussed ? Will skrying on the tarot and such things also be a part of the class?

Or will only be the traditional way of laying and interpretation be discussed?

Considering that there were 25 different tarot sets at the books store, and zero copies of Christian Prayer, I would be highly interested in checking this out.  Might as well see what all the fuss is about.

The deck that you have is irrelevant. I personally have gone through three decks already and finally settled with the Zerber-Farber deck. Many of my friends prefer Rider-Waite-Smith or Crowley's Thoth deck. The class will be about tarot in general and not focusing on a certain type of deck. Regular playing cards may also be used.

This class will mostly cover different spreads and "traditional" interpretation. I also would like to teach a psionic approach to tarot as well as going over some of the better tarot books I've come across.

Solstice: Wasn't it you that I argued with for about half an hour about RWS decks and using the "Celtic Cross" and "Tree of Life" spreads?

No, because I dont use those spreads (or that deck), and could care less about what decks into which they are incorporated...   Even so, that would hardly have any bearing on our plans to do a class-- I simlpy have not been in a good state to organize such a thing.

Let's just say that my lessons are moving just as quickly as Kobok's at this point. Getting bogged down with work. Just keep yelling at me and I'll get a move on it. -_-

I started today. I'm writing articles first and then will eventually develop the key points into some kind of organized group or class.
