Greetings from the Mentors :)

The Veritas Mentor program is dedicated to promoting individual and group studies in the various realms of the occult. This is accomplished by assigning interested parties 'mentors', with specializations in the applicants areas of interest. Note that the mentors are not Teachers, but all of them possess significant background in their particular fields. We are here to provide individual attention and guidance; to help those new to Veritas, or the occult in general, to have a smoother ride.

You can apply to recieve a mentor by filling out the following application, and PMing it to the account "Mentors". You will then be assigned a mentor according to your areas of interest:

Quote
Name (what you want to be called)
Age
Time Zone

What are you interested in studying at veritas?

What are your other interests?

Why are you applying to the mentor program?

Cheers, and we look forward to exploring with you. :)

Oy.  I would assume that its other interests you have be they music, games, hobbies of all kinds, sports, etc but it helps to list interests included in the veritas community.

The applications are checked regularly. You will be set up with a mentor when one is available. Patience is a virtue, remember that ;)

PM is a private message on the site that you get. not sure why it's called that, but it is. :\

I'm pretty sure that you are mentored either in a chat room, or in PM, occasionally in IM, but I could be wrong.  Those seem to be the most practical methods though.

Note: I am not speaking for the program, only personally.

Private message is obviously the most accessible so if there is no other way, I will mentor over Veritas PM. The chatroom can also be used, but I tend to avoid that because it can be very distracting when you're trying to have a conversation privately and a thousand other people are talking in other rooms. Generally, I would say I speak to most of my mentees over some other chat of their choice. Many of the mentors are available on multiple chats, usually AIM, MSN and YIM being the most popular as far as I can see. Basically, we will try to pay attention to your needs first and our sanity second. So feel free to bother your mentor about using an outside chat or e-mail if that is what you prefer. We don't bite...

I don't wanna get bitten...*hides*

I applied for a mentor. I'm ready to use PM or AIM...^_^

Good thing this forum is so friendly and welcoming. I mean, seriously, a mentoring program? I'd be too grumpy/cranky to be a mentor. But not the mentors here. Yaaaay!
