..I am just beginning my training in the art of Lucid Dreaming.  ..I have been able to remember my dreams with ease--And woke up at 4:00AM after one of my REM states to write a four page entry in detail about the dream. ..
.. But now that I have acquired this skill--Where do I go..? ..How do I begin my control....?
On those Summer night when the Wind is Tortured with Chill..
Those Summer nights where we make love for Thrills
Those Autumn days the trees Burn with red fire
Those Autumn days we burn with our Desire
Those Winter mornings with heaven's ice cream flows
Those Winter mornings I kiss your cold Nose
Those Spring Evenings we lie together
Together for so long, in the seasons we will die together.
-Crystalline Is Jade?

I think the next step for you should be trying to gain some type of control over your dreams. For example dreaming of being attacked by a bear and realizing your incapable of being harm by this animal would be a clear step forward in this skill. Try to grasp the fact that what your experiencing is a dream not reality. If you need further guidance I recommend reading the techniques and tips described in the articles of Lucid Dreaming in this site.

Try going to sleep, repeating to yourself "I am dreaming, I am dreaming" over and over again. This should sometimes keep going in your dream, causing you to regain conciousness.
<@kobok> And if you push hard enough, you can shove quite a lot into a chicken.

<@Trowa> When someone told him to jump off a cliff, he argued the semantic meanings of "jump" and "cliff", and then proceeded to do just that.

When I first was learning, I did something that freaked my parents out. I would walk around the house for about half an hour, and examine every inch of it. If something was extremely plain and normal, I would say to myself, "Well... if I was dreaming, would this be like this?" And I basically imprinted my surroundings into my memory and thought about them right before I went to sleep. Therefore when I started to dream, if something was out of place, it sparked my memory and I sometimes in my dream I would say, "Oh crap... this is a dream..." Or something of the sort. That method works for me. If it does for you also, great. If not, go read up on the topic.

Be well.

Could someone explain to me what Lucid Dreaming is? Also, what is REM?

I'm just your helper aren't I? REM stands for rapid eye movement, lucid dreaming is basically a controlled dream, where you are aware of it but not confined to the limits of it.
Litany of Fear
I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.
