How many of you would be interested in sessions where a bunch of people read a metaphysical text (throughout a time period, maybe normally a week?) and then discuss it after the reading period?

EDIT: The first book has been decided upon by us elitest jerks: me, wil, shadowarrior, and unforgiven, and will be discussed THIS friday, two hours prior to the time that this message was posted/editted (on the hour-ish) :)

Comments, opinions, suggestions, and ideas for future sessions are welcome :)

Philippians 2:5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,  7 but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.

I'd be interested in participating as well... I think its a great idea.
Personally, seeing as how this is the first time it would be taking place, I think it would be better to go with the smaller book... So we can kind of judge how well it goes.
If all goes well, and the "session" was a success, then we could move onto larger/more in-depth books.

<@kobok> And if you push hard enough, you can shove quite a lot into a chicken.

<@Trowa> When someone told him to jump off a cliff, he argued the semantic meanings of "jump" and "cliff", and then proceeded to do just that.

Although it would be at 3/4AM my time, I think it would be a good idea. I can always read what you discuss when I get up at a later time, and if I had any buring questions/comments I could always get someone to pass them on for me...

This sounds like a good idea, I vote Aye :D

i'll try to participate however it would perhaps be good if we had another time as well for us english, because at either 3 or 1 on the morning (i'm not sure) i can't really think as well as normal.

Well, there could be two groups set up, or even two distinct times for discussion and whoever wishes to join in during either time (or even both) would be welcome (but would be expected to have read the material :))

This is more of a psuedo-class than a set-in-stone class ^_^

Is it possible that you could then put a log of what was talked about in the articles section, or somewhere, so that those of us who can't be there can still here opinions from other people on Veritas?

In such a state the difference between absolute power and absolute powerlessnes is undetectable.

Quick question Kakkarot, will a thread be posted for further discussion outside of chat on the irc channel?
