I think we're all ignoring the part where kilik posts his stuff indiscriminately and all his posts are copypasta.

I know he's trying to put his ideas out there, but no matter what the content is, if you go about it like spam, it's spam.

In this way he's no different than the pharmaceutical spammers that plague the OECs.

We delete the posts about cialis and viagra because we know that these people put no effort into their posts, they're irrelevant, and copy pasted by the scores across multiple forums of multiple websites.

We don't delete kiliks post why? Isn't he doing the same thing? It, at a certain point, ceases to be protecting freedom of speech. I hate to be the one to put the kibosh on someone's ideas, but the clinical parameters for spam have been met.

My question is what separates kilik from the other faceless nameless assholes who post things by the scores that are of no real worth where they're not welcome?

First, he's not here trying to make money by posting links.  And second, there's the fact that he engages in occasional on-topic discussion (such as in the Body Energy Arts forums).  His discussion skills are poor and consist mostly of dogmatic argumentation, but he does make the attempt in those cases.  This draws a clear distinction between him and a spammer, even though the majority of his posts are huge disorganized messes of links and pictures.  The disorganized posts are not because he's trying to lure traffic to various things, it's more that this is just how his brain thinks.  We cannot make it against the rules to be very bad at organizing a point or presenting or forming a coherent idea, and those things I think are the basis for his primary offenses which bother the most people.

I support the right of anyone to speak here as long as they make a continuous effort to discuss the topics of our interest, and to follow the rules.  I do however think we are justified in regulating how people post, and we can certainly require him to contain his posts in a less indiscriminate manner.  There could then be subsequent consequences if he refused to contain his posts, but I suspect he would conform to this if we can come up with clear and specific guidelines.

He seems to respect the boundaries set for him at least.

I guess it wouldn't be so bad if we set some clear ground rules for him to provide us with some peace while he can still have his voice.

@Faijer: I am sorry for your parents had to urinate on you. It had to be a horrible experience for you. I can't imagine that as I had seen sea for the first time when I was 14 and no jellyfish was around. But I understand your point as my experience from meeting one psychic vampire caused I can't listen some bands and speak with some people asociated with him even when those people were my good friends.

I just can say that my asociation of Kilik and Veritas is in a positive way.

I voted no, because I genuinely believe (and I reckon I am in a very small minority to do so) that Kilik simply isn't a problem. Yes, he annoys a lot of us because he is almost always wrong, uses a lot of pictures, and he does not make a whole lot of sense. Maybe, at best, one could come up with a good reason for not using so many pictures if they are using up a lot of our bandwidth (but if I recall correctly, our host, dream host, is rather awesome in all respects, so this might not even be a problem.)

I simply do not believe that we can go around  faulting people for being bad at stating their point, for being wrong, and for being bad at learning from their experiences in general. We can't go around banning or limiting people for mediocrity, because this forum has emerged from mediocrity. A lot of us came here being pretty mediocre ourselves. Just because this was in the past does not mean we should be so quick to forget it.

So hes me about 4 years ago. I turned out all right even though I still have some problems I like to keep to myself or the cafeteria. He just needs a guiding hand and a foot up to build a positive mental projection that he wants to be a better person then what he was and actualize it.

Jesus, why don't you guys just ban him for not agreeing with you,  or go track him down in real life and just kill him.

It's ridiculous the tantrums that are thrown just because you don't like his threads.  The only high school drama I'm getting is this thread and others like it.  I graduated high school and it's things like this that make me damned glad I did.

It's not the disagreement. We have plenty enough of those even without kilik. It's his terrible sources of information, his extraordinarily poor organization skills (which make his threads nearly worthless all on their own), and his unwillingness to consider even the remotest possibility that he's wrong even when he is proven wrong. Continually.

Mastery does not occur when you've performed a feat once or twice. Instead, it comes after years of training, when you realize that you no longer notice when you're performing a feat which used to require so much effort. Even walking takes years of training for a human: why not everything else?

Voted 'no'.

I only go to three boards on this site: Body Energy Arts/Martial Arts, Cafeteria, and Main Hall.

He digs up decent stuff in Body engery/martial arts forums and his post, while long-winded (and I may not agree with all his opinions), are informative and useful. They sure-as-shit beat the "can sum 1 teech mee ki?" posts (I've really become jaded  :mad:)

Never really noticed anything out of the ordinary from him in Caf. and Main Hall.

Just saying, it isn't just that they don't like his threads. It's that he keeps posting them, over and over and over and over and over and over (you know where this is going), with the EXACT same result each and every time. This is the definition of insanity, brother. This really wouldn't be a problem if multiple threads weren't made every week (at one time, at least once or twice a day) with the same result in every thread.

The only upside to most of them happens to be the fact that he opens the door to sources. Sources with bad information, but sources nonetheless.

i say no

Killiks threads are genuine theories dont doubt a parascience ignorant people when this is a fucking parapsychological forum -_-

websters definition of;

Theory;

 plural the·o·ries
Definition of THEORY
1
: the analysis of a set of facts in their relation to one another
2
: abstract thought : speculation
3
: the general or abstract principles of a body of fact, a science, or an art <music theory>
4
a : a belief, policy, or procedure proposed or followed as the basis of action <her method is based on the theory that all children want to learn> b : an ideal or hypothetical set of facts, principles, or circumstances —often used in the phrase in theory <in theory, we have always advocated freedom for all>
5
: a plausible or scientifically acceptable general principle or body of principles offered to explain phenomena <the wave theory of light>
6
a : a hypothesis assumed for the sake of argument or investigation b : an unproved assumption : conjecture c : a body of theorems presenting a concise systematic view of a subject <theory of equations>

Philosophy

1
 a  (1) : all learning exclusive of technical precepts and practical arts   (2) : the sciences and liberal arts exclusive of medicine, law, and theology <a doctor of philosophy>    (3) :  the 4-year college course of a major seminary    b  (1) archaic : physical science   (2) :  ethics    c : a discipline comprising as its core logic, aesthetics, ethics, metaphysics, and epistemology
2
a : pursuit of wisdom b : a search for a general understanding of values and reality by chiefly speculative rather than observational means c : an analysis of the grounds of and concepts expressing fundamental beliefs
3
a : a system of philosophical concepts b : a theory underlying or regarding a sphere of activity or thought <the philosophy of war>
4
a : the most basic beliefs, concepts, and attitudes of an individual or group

These topics are by far too broad in themselves to be able to stuff them all into one board

Therefore, i move that the Theories\articles\Philosophy\ board in the discussion areas be separated into 2 separate boards Theories, and Philosophy, due to the fact each topic is so large it cannot be contained in one board. As well as i make a motion  to sticky an anti-evolution topic in the theoies board and to tell killik to confine his supporting data to that thread.

I say that because when people have to put;
Theories of psi
Theories of magick
Theories of body energy arts
the three main discussion areas of the forum as well as numerous theories about any other topic as well as;
Philosophy of psi
Philosophy of magick
Philosophy of the body energy arts
The 3 main philosophical discussion areas plus any other philosophical debate that arises

All stuffed into one board
