The first joint book with Elisabeth Haich which appear first in Hungary was SPORT AND YOGA. It sold itself until today worldwide in more than 4 million (!)  Copies and was translated into many languages.  The effect of this beech is legendary.  It has counted for this time and until today as one of the base works of the yoga in the west.  During the 2nd world war and the first years of the Hungarian revolution supported Yesudian its students and friends after powers and remained them an illuminating example for actual life courage.  A further became functioning as impossibly made 1948, in the confused of the Russian garrison, yoga teacher.  Mr. Yesudian had to escape therefore together with woman Haich from Hungary.  Both decided first of all to emigrate to North America, in order to cause there in the intellectual legacy of the exceptional Yogi Swami Vivekananda (1863 - 1902).  Your way led it however fortunately as guests into Switzerland where they began to give first courses and by friends therefore asked became to remain durable.  In this time, they decided to establish itself in Zurich.  In the consequence time, they constructed the probably best known school for Hatha- and Raja yoga in Western Europe.  In Ponte Tresa (Swiss Tessin), its unique yoga summer school, that became for thousands of yoga of interested person the blessing, emerged in addition.

Over itself Selvarajan Yesudian spoke only rarely.  Its appearance was stamped of sincere kindness and modesty.  Once it said however over its personal way:  "In the actual sense, I change in the footprints of the Buddha".

Selvarajan Yesudian in all quiet returned in October 1998 into the source.  I never will be forgotten causing.

@man son, I post here because of your comment "why nobody mentions him? Maybe because he was a charlatan and caused mor (sic) harm to the world than good?"

I was a student of Yesudian for many years when I lived in Zurich. He was one of the most genuine, skilled and wholesome people I've ever met. If you look at his biography, you'll see he died before the internet age - perhaps the reason his works are less accessible these days. But I can state that his classes were filled weekly with at least 100 people each session. His manner and life philosophy were enriching to all around him. I have 2 of his books right next to me know.

He taught many things, one was to be at ease with oneself. He also taught to think the best of other people.

I am older than you, I guess. Over 50. I got my life awakening with his 2 books in my country, former Yugoslavia, when I was 22, i guess. Already in that time books was translated in many languages. I felt joy deep from my heart before staring reading it, already when I pulled book from a shelf at my friend place and hold in my hand... He wanted best to everybody. Purity and tremendous love and care for humans  that radiated from his books went straight into my heart and I started practicing Hatha Yoga on my own, using just his books. That was unforgettable! It stimulated me to change my life on other ways too! Practice is best way of checking if something is right or not, and that is what I did. Hatha yoga, slow motion exercises, meditation, life philosophy, need to breathe on proper way etc... Although some editions are partly changed in translation, as far as I could understand, anyway his works got printed into my heart because he put his heart and love in effort to try to explain others what are real facts in life, and that message reached me!
When I discovered this site and pictures of him this evening, tears of love could not stop flowing! As I can see, in my sight, he is light-being, he achieved what he spoke about. My eternal love is dedicated to him.
