Matthew 8: 3-4
3 And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

4 And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

I have often wondered about this verse - the first healing by Jesus in the New Testament.  If Jesus could heal the sick why would he keep it secret?  It seemed cruel to not alleviate the suffering when you have to power to do so.  Maybe he was reluctant to get into the healing business due to the karma he would incur.  Perhaps the moral of the story is never to heal the first one because after that the word spreads and the sick will find you!   :headwall:
