Right T, let's settle this.

"What Responsibility?"
"To keep track of the mistakes we've made, as a species."
"To spread the word, to fight for change. And that's what keeps me alive."

Umm, I chose the first Pc... But I don't get the frickin' post title.

Eitherway, I think the next boring poll should be "Which is better Intel or Athlon".

I'd choose athlon....

Philippians 2:5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,  7 but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.

It's gotta be PC's. MacOS X has some sw33t features, but I think Gnome or KDE will catch up pretty soon- and PCs are soooo much cheaper, and more often than not with far more bang for the buck.

Windows has unfortunately been banned from making any major systems updates until 2007, and Mac OS X has already proven to be ahead (check some MacUser magazines for details, perhaps back issues I think). Additionally, and this is fact "The Dual 2Ghz G5 Mac is 2.2 times faster than tha 3.06Ghz Xeon processor". Now I know the Xeon isn't exactly the best, but I think 2.2 times faster has to say something. I think that it's also faster than the Celeron, but not by as much. Additionally, they apgrading in the summer to a Dual 2.5Ghz, and then later in the year to a Dual 3Ghz, so it will be even faster. I know speed isn't everything, but if you check the other system specs like HD volume etc, I think you will find them more than adequate. Additionally, the Mac is JUST as compatible with other computers as Windows. The only main thing I wish they had which only Windows has is Red Alert 2, most of the other programs it doens't have, it either doesn't need, or they are (imo) crap.

3.06Ghz Xeon processor with mb: $644 (Total price for a system = $993
{Case around $30, CRT monitor around $100, video card $64, sound card a couple of bucks, CDROM $20, harddrive around $100, modem a couple of bucks, memory around $30}-- and that's buying all the parts yourself and not getting a deal from Dell or something)

Dual 2Ghz powermac G5: $3,000 + $700 for display

Apple may be twice as fast, but it does it at three times the price.

Windoze is behind mac as far as a good GUI, but I think Linux options like KDE or Gnome are catching up.

Then of course there's my personal favorite Linux GUI, WindowMaker... It's not as 'advanced', strictly speaking, as Gnome or KDE, but it's stabillity and charm make up for it.

But for Mac you can't but as much games that you can for PC. But as Talyn said Mac is faster and has more HD space but I would still go for PC. I am the 1% on the 2nd pc :p

Not as many games... There's someone who clearly hasn't done their research... Like I said, the only good game that isn't on the Mac that is on Windows is Red Alert 2, every other game is. Unreal Tournament 2004, C&C Generals etc etc. The only problem is knowing where to get hold of them, which, when you've had a Mac for a long time (in my case, my entire life), isn't actually a problem at all.

I prefer PC's because they are more universal than Macs. That and the fact that they are compatable with more peripherals.

Again, someone who hasn't done their research... most of you people seem to think that Macs can't do anything, but you haven't really looked at our operating system capabilities, compatibilities etc etc.
