From what I understand, he's kind of proto-DMKU.

Ah, got ya.  Tactical magic was a good one anyway, although I've got to own up to getting it free from bittorrentz :)

Before I deployed to Afghanistan I downloaded "The Kybalion" for free on my iPhone. I just started reading it recently and i'm halfway through... it's an incredible piece of work and to one who readily seeks the Truth it provides intense clarity. I highly, highly recommend it.
Be extremely subtle, even to the point of formlessness. Be extremely mysterious, even to the point of soundlessness. Thereby you can be the director of the opponent's fate. -Sun Tzu

When the Mind is clear and still, all things under Heaven fall into place. -Lao Tzu

Drink your cup alone, though it taste of blood and tears, and praise God for the gift of taste. -Almustafa

I'm not sure if this was shared or not but I stumbled across this archive years ago and I'm pleased to see it is still around. It's a fairly solid set of books on the Occult. Enjoy.

Over 15 years and nothing truly changes here.... *sigh* x) Dive in with eyes closed, right? So for whoever finds this topic....(I mean 2013... tssk...)

I am missing a title here. If you are serious about learning hermetics and wish to get a solid grasp of the content and it's sources, preferably before you start at "popular" magical hermetics, give the following title a read. It is the closest translation to the original texts and provides a vast amount of notes and sources, helping you further on your way. Not only by pointing out many other books that might serve you but also comparing the text to most other translations and other texts like the Koré Kosmou, the prinicples and the Nag Hammadi Codices . It will also help you determine what books are mostly similar to what you have already read and what will be new information.
(The book is meant as study material, so expect university-level notes and comparisons, not just between texts but between the interpretation of words in different languages. It is not a book you'll read front to back in one afternoon, as the book is about 80% notes sending you back and forth between the pages. It will take some studying but without grasping the knowledge your efforts with magick will be futile, or come at a very high cost. If this is too much work for you, find a hobby instead. I don't mean to be rude, but that is simply how it is.)

Anyhoos:

The greek Corpus Hermeticum and the latin Asclepius in a new English translation with notes and introduction.
Brian P. Copenhaver

you will possess mind, and if you have mind, you will also have a share in the way to learn." ~Hermes Trismegistus
