Independent ritual thaumaturgy, because I wanted to see if magic worked and the only material I'd read was on ritual stuff.

"For no matter how holy works may be, they do not make us holy because we do them, but in so far as we within ourselves are as we should be, we make holy all that we do, whether it be eating, or sleeping, or working, or what it may."

Started off doing meditation, grounding and some chi work around 7 or 8 years ago when DR got me into Ninjutsu (And Veritas), within a year I was working on Psionics.

I only really got 'into it' after starting psionics though.

I started making psi balls when I was 12 and I fell in love. And now, I'm just a washed up 21 year old.

I was taught how to meditate; from there I extrapolated a system of elemental/ geometric talisman creation. I used to think Kanji were somehow special, but still used the Indo-european five elemental scheme instead of the Chinese. I did it for the rush of magical consciousness. I experimented to discover everything that I used, and did some incredibly stupid stuff along the way. Now I am just now studying alchemy because I find a lot of parallels with my early "system." The holistic view cultivated by my experiments also brought my grades up. I loved DBZ but was not a Radki-doka.

I started out attempting to blow up my couch.
<@kobok> And if you push hard enough, you can shove quite a lot into a chicken.

<@Trowa> When someone told him to jump off a cliff, he argued the semantic meanings of "jump" and "cliff", and then proceeded to do just that.

My discovery of the metaphysical arts was also due to pyromania...I was looking around a website for recipes for things that go bang when I saw a psionics article by a dude called Xirokoto and clicked on it to see what it was. I was really pleased when I got a psiball the first time I tried. Later on I found out about Veritas and I'm now into elemental magic.

Actually, how I found this place is through DD. Not Darkduck, it was a forum called Dimensional Doorways. But there I met both Darkduck, and one of his students who I was good friends with. Through that gang I learned about TUS, and met the Silvs. Then things evolved. However, I'd say my interest has always been there, my dad was a firm believer that telepathy and psychokinesis were real, though he couldn't prove it. So, I did some research online, blah blah blah, so on and so forth. Like my new sig?
