Nevertheless, I felt an urge to post it anyway.

---

I'm breaking through the walls of the maze.
I know my goal, the exit, the pillar, the gate, the radiant light.
My hands are bloody, fragments of cement lodged between the knuckles.
I've been without food or water for weeks now.
I strive on.

The light is the largest I've ever known.  It spans the entire sky in front of me.
I don't know how much further I have to go.
All I know are the names of the animals, the minotaurs that live in the shadows here:

Lust...
Jealousy...
Apathy...
Lethargy...
Ignorance...
Arrogance...
Hypocricy...
Greed...
Doubt...
Impatience...
Deceit...

They prowl for victims every day
Attempting to satisfy unending hunger
Feasting on souls

ENOUGH.

Hollow Men
T.S. Eliot had it right.
They go down various paths in the maze
and die at dead ends.
There's more to life than this.
There has to be.
I can almost taste it!
A significance!
A significance to life!

It's in the air!
It's in the water!
It's in the dirt!
It's in the fire!
It's in the stars!
It's in the planets!
It's in the grass!
It's in ourselves!

unreachable.

or is it?

Will you join me?
Will you break through the walls?
In the quest for God?

As you love your own body, so regard everyone as equal to your own body. When the Supreme Experience supervenes, everyone's service is revealed as one's own service. Call it a bird, an insect, an animal or a man, call it by any name you please, one serves one's own Self in every one of them. ~ Ma
