Body Energy Arts / Re: Breathing in reverse form
« on: July 21, 2005, 04:36:42 PM »
I tried the excersie, usually i would use Four fold breath method also, but i'm always up for a chance to try something new.

It felt odd, and was quite refreshing mabey just becuase it was different, but i dont think its as good as the four fold breathing method.  I felt the four fold was more benificial to my whole body than that method, but that could be because the four fold breath is far more natural to me.

Anyway, isn't the natural path of chi in your prime meridin not supposed to flow up your spine and down your front?  Could this cause tension within your body by using this, but mabey that is how he is building his chi from it, letting the tension build up and then releasing it?

Not really too bothered about changing how i breath at the moment as my current way is fine.  Interested in how other find this.

Projection / What's beyond the astral plane?

A quick qestion... Does anyone who's rambling off lists of different planes, heavens or hells have any experience interacting with them? Because if you haven't 'traveled' to these different planes you're mentioning, or have had any experience with them, then you sure as hell shouldn't be trying to give advice to someone else based soley off guess work.

I just said one interpretation of the planes was... and so on. Never said it was the truth, but it'll give the person asking the question somethings to look into if they're interested :/ And it wasn't guess work. That list of planes can be found from many different sources, and the last bit if you read it again was my opinion/belief. I believe i'm allowed to have an opinion on these matters :P ?

In relation to the experience thing, you shouldn't even really try to teach some things even if you have had experience with it. Experiences can be faked, for instance the whole music worship thing in churches. Now that can work as a form of worship for many people people but it can also be faked, as can some of the emotions people feel from them. I'm fairly certain you could make people get the same emotions/high from normal music without a theme of worship with the right atmosphere or person phyching them up. I reckon anyone on here could physce people in a false frenzy if they so desired.

EDIT: (to post above) ever read the discworld series? :D

Dreams / whoa
« on: May 23, 2005, 04:57:07 PM »
Has no-one heard of online dream encyclopedias?

Anyway here some interprations from one to get you started.

Field: The meaning of a field in a dream depends on the other elements in the dream and the dream's general atmosphere.  Thus, a wild field might represent nature and the freedom of running through a field.  A cultivated field might new growth or harvest.  A barren field can be a powerful symbol of lack of as well as emotional barrenness.  A completely different set of associations comes to mind with respect to a playing field.

Your field was one full of black roses and shadows, with a sense of fear, so next you need to look up what those might mean to you, sooo

Fear:  Fearful dreams are quite common, reflecting either anxiety about concrete problemsin the world or anxieties arising from inner tensions.  For a deeper understanding, the dreamer should attempt to identify the source if fear in the dream.

Colours:  Many colours in a dream may depict energy, as colours are vibrations of light.  A single colour in adream can be interpretated only in the context of the dreamers relationship with that colout.  Black may mean evil, witches, and black cats or sophistcation and elegance.

Shadow: A shadow may represent the hidden aspects of the self.  The dreamer often does not accept these parts of his or her personality and they are projected upon others until the dreamer can accept them and incorporate them into his or her phyche.

Well there you go, the rest is up to you to wok out, but can i ask you a few questions first?

1. Have you started anything new in you life recently, specifically related to the subjects discussed on this board.

2. What are your background beliefs related to the subjects on this board (how were you brought up)

Projection / What's beyond the astral plane?
« on: May 23, 2005, 04:37:32 PM »
yeah there are other planes past the astral but to be able bring your conciousness whilst still alive and part of this reality into them is very unlikey.

When your entering the Astral plane your raising your soul concious resonance to that of a different reality.  The higher the plane the more energy need to vibrate faster, explained simpling thanks to physics and KE=1/2MV2.  Since 1/2 is constant and the mass of you soul is constant, the only things that can change are V and KE;the velocity of the mass (your souls vibration rate) and the Energy of your souls vibrations.  This means that "the square root of energy of your souls vibrations" is directly propotional to "your souls vibration rate" (if don't understand why i suggest getting a book on mathematics and studying it ^^).

since it is the square root of your energy you can begin to see the problem of getting to extremely higher planes. Though you can also see why its also hard to extremly slow vibration

Say that the planes increases in vibration were a constant figure
so 1 = the 1st
2 = the second
3= the third
4= the forth ...etc.
to access the first realm your eneegy needs to be 1
to access the second you would need 4 (400% increase)
to access the third you need 9 (900% increase)
to get to the forth you'd need 16 (1600% increase)

if the energy decreases
to 1/4 (meaning a 75% lose) it means the vibrations falls only to 1/2
to 1/9 the vibrations fall to 1/3
to 1/16 the vibration fall to 1/4

even at a 99%lose
1/100 the vibrations fall to 1/10 (10% of normal speed)

Anyway back on topic ^^"

Once interpratation of the planes are:
1:the physical (ethric is a sub plane of this)
2:the Astral
3:the Intellectual
4:the Akashic
5:the Mental
6:the Messianic
7:the Buddhaic

I would also say there is an 8th plane, where perfection is reached and the reality of infinity is expressed by returning to where we came from.  Some follow this by the belief of a "divine light" being the source of all, and our souls being divine sparks created from this light, and where we have achieved perfection of our lives we return to the light.

Magick / Sanctuary of Ma'at
« on: May 12, 2005, 03:09:00 PM »
Does anyone know in what way the Sanctuary of Ma'at is similar or dissimilar to the order "Aurum Solis"?  Having read their first book of "The Magical Philosophy" series i think i would like the Aurum Solis approach to teaching, but the whole joining up thing of all these order confuses the hell out of me and im quite wary of joining something i may not agree with.

Spirituality / A request and a challenge
« on: May 12, 2005, 02:49:26 PM »
I've heard and read a lot about "ACIM" from newsgroups but never really given much thought, though i like what i have read and heard.  I wouldn't have time at the moment to dedicate myself to it, but once the summer kicks in i'll probably buy some books and see what its really all about.

Keep us posted on how it goes chosen, and good luck studying :)

Dreams / weird insect dream
« on: May 04, 2005, 03:26:00 PM »
*brings out "the dream encyclopedia" opens up section on insects and starts reading...

Insects: A dream about insects indicates that something is "bugging" the dreamer, perhaps some person or condition in the persons life

well thats what is says, but remember this book is written for people with western mindsets so it could be other things to you, but if gives an idea.

EDIT: lol, after reading through all the posts so far, that discription could easily fit in to most of your dreams, not that it means it does, gotta remember that :)

Body Energy Arts / A fool's view of Tai Chi
« on: May 04, 2005, 03:10:17 PM »
Having skimmed through this thread and seeing the effort you've put in then the one lousy comment that was pointless, i felt i should give your article a bit of proper attention :)

Overall i felt that your article contains great information for people seeking a bit of information on tai chi, but its just the style of your layout that doesn't so much let it down, but as to add confusion where there really shouldn't be any.  Add a few paragraph spaces in to make easier on the reader, as for first time people looking into this, your article appears quite heavy becuase of your layout.

Also although its good to try write as speach for explaining things, its bettter write in pros for things like introductions and bits inbetween, but then, this is just my opinion.

So good information that will be useful, especially since its stuff you can use everyday, just try a more spaced out layout.

Martial Arts / Tonfa weapons training
« on: April 28, 2005, 04:10:33 PM »
You do study the tonfa in jujitsu, both using it in combat and katas etc.  Recently learnt the first kata for tonfas myself, quite cool weapons to use, with many different uses thanks to their handles, lots of chokes and strikes specifically.

Projection / Problem with waking up.
« on: April 19, 2005, 03:34:13 PM »
Well if your getting back to an etheric projection surely moving closer to your where your body in the physical world is you should be sucked back in.  I've experienced this before and although its not a pleasent experience (can be quite terrifying) it should work :S, its not really an ideal solution though is it

Main Hall / The Importance of Veritas, and Study Group
« on: March 25, 2005, 08:54:51 AM »
At the moment i wouldn't be interested in joining a study group, but i still think its a great idea.
The reason why i haven't been on veritas in so long now, is because the lack of people in real life who i know who are interested in it, has lead to me loosing interest myself.  I have brought books and read through and thats great, and i still do my martial arts every single week, but i find i learn so much more from my sensei than on here simply because as soon i do something wrong he corrects me normally with the phrase "what was that?" and then proceeds to do it correctly inflicting great pain :D
For instance i would love to learn more on occult high magick but i know that i cannot achieve it by myself.  Mabey you can, but i can't, i need to be able to talk to people about stuff have a laugh about things, and have someone there in front of me helping along the way, at least until i can stand on my own two feet.
"the usefulness of teachers and leaders is that they allow you to completely focus on the tasks at hand without having to keep one eye on what your doing and one eye on if your doing it right"
I firmly believe in this, and mabey right now i may not know people in RL who can help but eventually i will find people and thats when i'll flourish.

Spirituality / Jesus Chirst, Man Or Myth.
« on: March 09, 2005, 02:48:58 PM »
Prophecy: would it be possible he would have studied how do such feats from within the cult of Osiris, just i have read that he was part of that whilst in egypt, and being the first born etc. it would be plausible.  I would assume the cult of Osiris teaches Thaumaturgy...
Did Jesus not also travel to Eastern Asia during his 20's?  It quite possible he learnt further types of high magic whilst there, and eastern mysticism.

Spirituality / Futherment of the 'Problem of Evil' argument
« on: March 09, 2005, 02:35:14 PM »
Quote from: Kyo
Yeah sorry, I must have been unclear in the first post, augustines argument was that there is no such thing as evil at all, just that it is the minimal quantity of good possible.

This point of view can be applied to any scale, due to the way humans understand, communicate and percieve things.
For example:
there is no such thing as cold, cold is just the absense (read minimal quantity or zero quantity if you so desire) of heat
there is no such thing as darkness, darkeness is just the absense of light
there is no such thing as light, light is just the absense of darkness
there is no such thing as good, good is just the absense of evil
The last one you may argue is untrue, but this is down to human perception and believe/hope, that more energetic/higher/better things come above or before their opposite.  There is no proof for this it all just words, and words are ways of communicating our human understanding which is deeply flawed.
Onto topic, with regards to your arguement Black, by the parameters you have set for the senario, the definitions, and your understanding, then yes i would agree that it is impossible for an all loving god to allow evil to take place the world :) .  If anyone can say otherwise, without changing anything you've said i'll eat my shoes :D.
Of course if you put this question to anysort of christian/jew/whatever that wants to counter, it will undoubtably be based upon some part of your understanding being incorrect or a half-truth.  What you need to be able to do is make an arguement that will stand up against all opinions on the matter, which i believe is quite impossible.

Other / Leylines and ancient knowledge
« on: February 27, 2005, 04:14:46 PM »
Yes i am familiar with what your saying, though not the term leylines (except from outlaw star ;)).  I believe it's been thought that those megalithic structures, and landmarks were built in deliberate places to balance the flow of the earth energy, or at least the pyramids due to their ability to "trap energy".

It would make sense anyway that spiritual sites would be built along the magnetic lines, as the magnetic forces greatly interact with nature.  Indeed a lot of birds (not sure about other animals) migrate by using the magnetic lines as a guideline for their flights, apparently the can sense/percieve the magnetic lines.
