Magick / Re: Language of the Serpent?

This reminds me of the feathered snake of Meso-American religions; named Quetzalcoatl. I do not have any insight into the serpent language, but serpents are featured as divine entities in many religions around the world.

@Merlin, sorry I do not remember you that well. Towards the end of MyTk's life I was nowhere near as active as I once was.

Maybe you can help me out a bit with IIH then. I need to start the exercise in step I where you focus on just one thing, but I've been putting it off because I don't totally understand. Franz Bardon has used the phrase "train of thought" when elaborating on the instructions, and that has only served to increase my confusion.

I don't think I can clearly word a question to get to the heart of the matter, so instead would you mind giving an example ofthe mental processes that should be taking place? Sorry if I'm overthinking things or missing something obvious.

There is pretty good book that has a good technique for this. The book is called Astral Dynamics, it has a system of internal energy manipulation the author has called NEW. In the book it has a section dedicated to getting into that mindset. I really recommend it. You can probably find the book online (I do not know for sure because I actually bought it and the newer version that came out recently.)

At the moment you seem to be farther in IIH than I am. I have been going over the theory section multiple times and making notes in my notebook. I like to absorb the theory before I begin the practice.

Hopefully we can get a conversation going here, then.

Yeah, message me if you ever want to talk. I am pretty friendly. :D

Yo, I am Timothy M. I am not really active (I mostly just float around and read articles), but I would like to join the discussion.

I am 18 (going to be 19 in a month) I love magick and quantum physics. I am learning to become a programmer for my career choice.

I have always loved the concept of magick and its applications; I have been obsessed with alchemy for about 4 years or so. I was once at a site known as MyTk which was a big fluff ball but it was fun to socialize there for a while. I am also getting into Initiation into Hermetics for the connection of Alchemy and to help progress me further in manipulating electricity

I am not very good at manipulating electricity at the moment; I have no control of it and it is really weak when I try to practice but (I took a small break from practice when school started so I do not have this problem currently) I go through light bulbs like candy (only in my room, my bathroom, and my closet) and I get really statically randomly.

I really like to talk to people but I have social anxiety so it is really hard for me to make the effort to talk to others unless given a clear opportunity or someone else starts the conversation.

What is your biggest accomplishment when it comes to magick?

(I do not really know you that well, therefore this answer might be obvious to most) What is your personal favorite system of magick.
What would you recommend to a magick scrub (with a few years of research) like me :?

I believe TDS is currently observing their "Year of Silence", which is when do not accept any new students for roughly a year, so that they may more fully focus on their current students. You may wish to send an e-mail to this address: (listed on their Contact page) to see if this is the case.

I tried that email address yesterday and I got an error message

Dracula: I never eat or drink, I am never outside before the sunset, my skin is pale and my intentions dark, I have fangs to drain blood of my victims and there is no protection from me. Who am I?
Answer: A tax collector?

Well the tax collectors in Florida must have adapted to the environment. My father (Tax Collector/Programmer) is very good at hiding these features from me. :P

What do I want for dinner tonight?

True, so very true. That was pretty funny. I liked that one.

Hear, hear, it's a bad sign when you ask "Oh mighty spirit, what do you demand in exchange for your service?" and the answer is "tits or gtfo!!!!!!1111eleven".
Hahahaha, that one is probably my favorite so far.

I found this on
A Christian, a Wiccan, and a Sorceror were taking a whizz in a public restroom. The Christian finished first, and proceeded to scrub his hands thoroughly, to the elbow, saying, "We Christians have learned to be clean." The Wiccan finished next, and barely wet his fingertips, saying, "We Wiccans have learned to respect Mother Earth and preserve her resources." The Sorceror zipped up and headed for the door, saying, "We Sorcerors have learned not to piss on our hands."

Hahaha, The calling dark forces one is pretty great :D

The problem with occult jokes is that nobody can ever find any. (joke based on the other meanings of the word Occult)

I hate trying to communicate with teenage ghosts/spirits using the Ouija board, it is so hard to make out what they are trying to say with all their text talk and emoticons.

My dowsing rods are really bad; they keep pointing towards my sink.

You can also go into each article section (there are only a few), and click the "Started By" at the top of that column.  This will sort the articles by who posted the thread.  A few articles have been posted by others and are marked in the article with different authorship (usually in the title with parentheses stating "by Person").  But for most of the articles the author corresponds to the Started By account.

Thank you, that will be extremely useful to me in the not-so-distant future.

Dreams / Tips for learning to have lucid dreams
« on: July 17, 2014, 01:26:12 AM »
Hey everyone,

I would really like to learn to have regular lucid dreams. At the moment I have very few lucid dreams at random times that only lasts for about 10-20 seconds.
It is really cool when I get the 1 lucid dream out of 1000 dreams, however it is extremely frustrating when I get the 999 regular dreams out of 1000 dreams.

Does anyone have any tips to help me develop more regular lucid dreams? (or) Does anyone have some sort of progression to develop lucid dreaming success every time (or at least more success than I currently have)?

Any answer would be appreciated.

Magick / Re: An inquriy regarding a particular book on Alchemy
« on: July 15, 2014, 08:48:56 PM »
Besides that being an oversimplification, esoteric principles are implicit in laboratory alchemy where you relate each step you are doing to an aspect of your consciousness moving up. Practical alchemy combines the esoteric part with the work one does in the lab. It is an oversimplification because the idea is that while one evolves themselves in the manner you speak of, a person can benefit from this per the alchemical product where what one is working with is also refined and evolve into a higher state. In essence, you are refining a physical product as you refine yourself spiritually where that understanding underpins the concept of turning something into a higher state.

That is probably the best way to explain alchemy in a really simple manner :D

Thank you, I love researching alchemy. It is my favorite subject of metaphysical study.

Unfortunately due to the requirement of alcohol in the experiments I have to wait three more years (I am only 18 years old at the moment) to begin my path of alchemy.
