Magick / Re: Binding a Spirit?

I appreciate your reply, Rayn.

However, I will counter your statements with a simple truth. Your whole post is, quite literally, your interpretation. That is to say, there is no structural scientific evidence that shows your statement as true, therefore it is only your perception of things. I am not saying that you are wrong, and in fact there are many things you have said that I agree with. You cannot claim that one has a misconception, because there is literally no scientific concept that applies to metaphysics. If there was, it wouldn't be metaphysics, it would be physics.

You are correct in that a link is not an anchor, at least not in the physical meaning of it. However, your association is a bit stronger than you are describing it. For example, this spirit that I was dealing with was a relative of one of my clients, and he had known this person in life. Their time together was traumatic for him, and caused him no end of grief. I called it an anchor intentionally, because the association he has with this spirit is so strong that he could not simply let it go and move on. So we used a simple binding ritual to transfer the association to an object. While that ritual was being done, I was using Reiki to heal the emotional attachments (associations) that he had formed, and helping him learn to let it go.

However, from my perception, binding is not just a matter of association. I have seen the effects of a binding ritual first hand. But, as I said before, this is only as I have perceived it, and I dare not say that my perception is the only way to perceive it.

You said that this post was dramatic? I ask you why? All I had done was ask for information about binding rituals, what they were useful for, and how what my associate was attempting was different from the definitions of binding rituals I had understood. I then added the circumstance to clarify why I was asking, to give Shinichi better information to work with in his response.

I actually own copies of both those books ;)

As to why I work with him? Well first, he is an extremely skilled practitioner, and I have seen first hand the things he is capable of.

Secondly, he knows there are other ways to do this, but this is the method he is most comfortable with. You say that thinking there is only one way means loss, but in martial arts, is it not better to master a single art, than to try and learn many? A warrior who is only skilled in three arts will always lose to a master of one art. Just because my art differs from his, doesn't mean any art is better suited for the task. As long as the job gets done, whichever method is used is pointless. If he wishes to expend all that energy to complete the task in a way he is most comfortable with, then who am I to say no?

Lastly, I work with him because we have a powerful spiritual connection. When the two of us are in the room, our energies both increase significantly, and the results are always interesting.

See, this is why I wanted to get some info on it. I don't feel its 100% needed to bind a spirit. He does.

With that said, I am not opposed to doing things his way, he is indeed a powerful practitioner, and he has done amazing things before through his practices. My job is to heal the trauma and prevent anything from using those negative emotions as an anchor ever again. I'll just let him overcomplicate things because it's what he knows how to do best.

That makes sense. Let me explain why I am questioning this. I have a close friend who practices Wiccan traditions, and there is a mutual friend dealing with a nasty spirit in their home, one who likes to cause emotional problems. He wanted to bind the spirit into what I presume is either a magical circle or triangle, then release the spirit into whatever afterlife the spirit is bound for (depending on the personal belief system all reading this follow, but for the sake of my own explanations, "heaven and hell"). This spirit, unfortunately, has a personal connection to one of the people living in the home, as they were tormented by this spirit when it was living. He said binding the spirit to an area/object will make it easier for me to work with the person with Reiki for emotional healing to try and destroy that connection the spirit has to the living. I was curious if the process differed from what I knew about binding spirits, since most reading I have explain that binding a spirit to an object is useful for power sources (like talismans that you mentioned above). I had never heard of using this process to deal with negative entities before.

I've heard many Wiccan practitioners refer to "Binding" a spirit, good or evil. I know how it works for good spirits, you are basically giving them a vessel to thrive within. But how does this process differ and change with evil spirits? What is needed to complete the task?

Body Energy Arts / Qi Gong for Mental Health
« on: August 04, 2015, 10:46:07 AM »
So I was reading the article on Qi Gong practices, and I wanted to reach out to the author, but he hasn't been active for over a year. So I pose this question to any willing to answer.

My girlfriend has an older sister who has bi-polar manic depressive. She feels as though her medications are making things difficult for her in her day-to-day life, and believes that some spiritual practice may help to reduce the medications she needs to take, as well as improving her general health. I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with bi-polar or similar mental states and how qi gong has helped them out? If you have yourself, or know someone personally, please share. I would love to bring her any positive stories to help sway her into practicing Qi Gong. I know it has done a lot for me, but my only mental "dis"ability is ADD.

Projection / An interesting read...
« on: August 04, 2015, 10:27:43 AM »
So astral projection has been a focus in my practices and studies for awhile. Recently, I picked up a book from a local bookstore, and I thought I should share it with you all. Its called Astral Projection for Psychic Empowerment by Carl Llewellyn Weschcke and Joe H. Slate.

The book has a number of useful topics, including various ways and means of using AP for healing and psychic development, but it also helps give an overall understanding as to what one is capable of in the astral realm. The book also features a host of good practices and techniques for strengthening one's energy body for astral travel, and overall techniques for achieving astral projection.

Other / Re: Time slowed?

So I consider myself an expert on the manipulation of time, or one's perception of it, with both psi and magick practices. Let me say this, while it is possible that you may have unconsciously manipulated time itself, or your perception of it, it is also highly unlikely. The process of altering time and one's perception of it takes a significant amount of energy, far more than one can usually produce without dedicated focus. Since you have not been able to reproduce the effect, then there is your answer.

Generally speaking, if you are experiencing that type of a reaction, then as mentioned, you need to start looking into it, and soon.

Angels exist, but the degree in which they exist depends upon your belief system. Every culture, and every religious practice, has "angels", though they may not always be called that. Angels are simply spiritual beings who exist on a higher plane of energy than we do. Depending on your preferred practices, you could start with enochian magick, or you could focus on the more "psi" related aspects. For myself, as a Reiki practitioner, I often deal with angelic forces. As beings of white light, they are very useful in healing both physically and spiritually. As a ghost hunter, I also use their energies when cleansing a home.

If you practice Magick in any form, my recommendation is to pick up a spirit board (not a ouija board), and bless and protect the board. When using, specify that you wish to make contact with angels, and ask that any who are willing to speak to you come forward. You can ask them any questions you see fit. If you decide to do so, post your questions and the results here, as I would be curious to know which angel contacts you. I usually talk with Gabriel or Michael. I have spoken to Raphael and Tsadkiel as well, though only because I called upon them specifically.

Enochian magick is also a great starting point for those wishing to use Angelic forces in magick practice. There are many types, depending on which material you use, but my preferred is Enochian sigil magick. It works, in theory, very similar to Goetia practices. You learn the sigil for an angel, and what that angels strengths are. You create a talisman with that sigil, and use it directly in practices, or simply keep it on your person to see how it changes your day-to-day life. There are other practices in Enochian magick as well, including evocation and invocation, although I know far less about that.

If you wish to practice from the perspective of psi, you could easily start with a meditation focused on making contact with your guardian angel. As with spirit guides, we all have particular angels who watch over us in our physical lives. Mine is Michael. Then, you could go so far as to attempt to contact them during an OBE/astral journey. Understand, however, that angels are…picky. They have their own agenda, and often times they will leave a conversation halfway through just to go do whatever it is they want or need to do. Be prepared to have a lot of conversations ended before you are ready to end them.

Psionics / Re: Anyone with true psychic (extra-sensory) powers...?
« on: August 04, 2015, 09:38:29 AM »
Think of it (at least from how I am perceiving you description of it) like threads. Each thread has its own starting point, and its own destination. Sometimes, these threads run parallel to each other, and sometimes they overlap. Instead of choosing a thread directly and following it to its particular outcome, try and see the outcome BEFORE you follow it. If you feel guided towards a particular "direction", take some time and meditate on it. Use linking to connect your energy to that of the current, and see what you can detect about the path, and where it leads. Then, choose a different path or current, and try the same. As you learn the outcomes of the different currents you are being led towards, you will start to understand why you are being guided that particular way instead of another.

I said that asking others to explain why you are being led would defeat the purpose, not that knowing defeats the purpose. All talents and abilities are given to us for a particular reason. We are meant to learn about these abilities and how to use them for ourselves. That is what enlightenment is about. So instead of asking another person to find the result for you, it is better to ask another to guide you on how to discover more for yourself. We should not be doing this task for you, it is meant for you to do. This entity, whatever it is, that is guiding you wishes for you to discover the information for yourself, rather than be told. This ability is something that it has been showing you, in hopes that you will learn to use it and understand it.

As with most Talents, your starting point should be learning the direct limitations of what your ability can and cannot do. You mentioned that if you are "wrong" about anything, great loses follow. Does that mean, if I understand it, that if you follow a "current" that you are not being guided towards, that there is a negative outcome?

Hey NO,

I'm always down to practice Empathy, since I am a born empath. I'm terrible at telepathy, though. At least at long distance. So, with that said, if you are interested, I am willing.

You ask to know where the currents are taking you? Well that would defeat the purpose. You've been given this gift, this extra sense, in order to learn from it and grow. It is a part of your journey. I, for one, do not claim to know the destiny of any individual. So, my response is simple. This higher being that is guiding you, try communicating with it. the next time you see these ebbs and flows and are guided towards one or another, stop. Ask yourself, and the entity guiding you, why you should take this path instead of another. Try to llearn how to "sense" what each current will lead you towards BEFORE you take the path. Ask for better understanding as to why you are being guided a particular way. This guiding entity doesnt control you, though it may feel like it. This gift, this ability, is yours. Master it, and you will understand more about it and yourself.

The problem is that she was practicing many different arts at the same time, hence my impression that she isnt as powerful as she thinks. There were voodoo, wiccan, and goetia practices that we could confirm, and there were books related to alchemy and dragon magick as well. However, the entity itself that was directed to them is, as far as I can tell, almost assuredly demonic in nature, which leads me to believe it was a goetia practice.

To update, I was able to visit the family's new home, and placed thorough protection in and around the home. I also gave the individual members of the family protection, and am working to create a few sigils to watch over their new home. The family leaves the old home at the end of this week, but I still have yet to get access to the old house. If I can get permission from the landlords, I will hopefully be going in there to finish this once and for all.

Agreed. I've dealt with angels and demons before, many times in fact. They all have their own agendas, and very rarely do theirs line up with ours.

I'm not looking to invoke anything, yet. Doing a little research to see if it is something I would like to get into.

Thanks for the quick response. It helps to have a more detailed description of the two. What steps should one take to begin learning about the two? Any good suggestions on books/websites?
