I'm glad you pointed that out, because I didn't mean to imply that belief has no place. Belief, as well as Faith, do have a practical use -- especially in magic. I can shift between paradigms as well as any chaote because of my belief that all spiritual and metaphysical paradigms teach the same inherent things, just with different words and symbolisms.

But my point is that this is besides the actual metaphysical work that is going on to make things happen. To put it another way: psychokinesis may be engaged via belief, but psychokinesis is not dependent upon belief to function. This is even more true for psionics, because as a paradigm psionics works very hard to focus on base principles to explain how things happen, and to work with metaphysical principles without all of the extra philosophical and occult overlay.

~:Shin:~
I personally wasn't speaking of belief in the context of a philosophical paradigm overlay like religion, i was speaking about it in the context of confidence.  Though you are right about it not being necessary to function, it is necessary to develop it to the fullest extent, i believe. (there it is again lol)  And so it is required to achieve a balanced practice.

How so shinchi? Because i have shown to have personal issues with god? Or was that not directed at me in particular?  Also how is belief not one of the primary factors in psi?  Do you think my practices are unbalanced because i shed off my paradigm of belief in an archtypal system of spirituality? Please explain your idea of a "balanced practice".

First, my statement was directed to what you said specifically and to the general subject behind what you said. It had nothing to do with god or spirituality, but you interpreting it that way sort of proves my point that belief is a subjective thing with its own meaning.

I don't consider a belief a factor of metaphysics, at all, simply because of the nature of belief. You can throw a ball up in the air and believe with all your heart that it is going to levitate, but Gravity will probably disagree. Meanwhile, a practitioner of metaphysics will actually be doing something to counter-act gravity in some way, to induce the levitation of the ball -- the skilled psion in particular will probably just kinetically hold it up.

It's a simple matter. The ball will fall, or it won't. You can philosophically believe in whatever you want, but in practice, the world doesn't turn because people believe that it turns. A car starts because of a combustion engine that exists because of objective chemistry and physics, and the sun rises each day because of orbits and simple physics.

The idea of a balanced practice is, generally speaking, a matter of individual pursuit. Even if I give the world a practical system of development, every person in the world will practice it slightly differently and progress in slightly different ways. But when you say that belief is a primary factor of psionics, it reminds me of such places as the Psion Guild and Psi Warriors. Staring at a wheel and believing that it will move probably isn't going to make it move.

~:Shin:~
I am also trying to say that; even though belief is a great part of all the factors that are put together to create psi actions, there is much more to it. I really do believe that without personal belief that this phenomena is possible, controlled psi phenomena and development is close to if not completely impossible because you cannot form potent expectation without belief.  Don't get me wrong, i agree that it is not necessary for it to happen, but for you to be able to control it, it is.
In case studies where researchers were doubtful of the success of its participants and made sure to express this to the participants beforehand, the results were significantly lower, the RNG machines did not deviate much from chance, in the gansfield experiments, their hits were also significantly lower because their expectations had been affected. ( i know its not spelled gansfield but one of these keyboard buttons does not work)

I really would like to see somebody that has excelled in psi without believing that they could do it.

There we go, i think i fixed the hyperlink for the original video and the link in my signature. Thanks for telling me Merlin, if there are still any problems please let me know.

The speed of the rotation from your first video is significantly slower than your "control" video - Please fix this, as it stands it does not contribute to your overall goal.
I just reviewed my videos this morning and Oh shit yeah that way quite faster. I definitely need to remake that video.

Edit; I deleted the control video, a new control hopefully with better replicated conditions is coming soon. Also, in the Macro Psychokinesis video 2, the effect is not quite as apparent as i have already explained that i am much more comfortable with manipulating a moving object.

I wasn't kidding when, in recommending you do this, that it was going to be a time consuming process.
I wasn't kidding when i said it either. :)

As to the control for the second video, do you think the time of day really matters? I am not trying to be sarcastic but my schedule is extremely fluid and i may not be able to do it at the exact same time of day.

1)move paper Psi wheel under a glass bowl , without hands and camera covering a full view of it
There was a huge hoax on the internet with a video showcasing exactly that. The person had a full view of the setup with a psiwheel under covered glass, and constructed the setup on-camera. All sorts of people rallied behind this video for a long while considering it undeniable proof. After gaining the support of the entire OEC, the author exposed it as a hoax himself in an effort to show that any video can be faked. I personally do not have a link to it, but its out there. I will not be using a psiwheel in any of my videos whatsoever. It can be a great tool to begin working with kinesis, but that is the extent of its usefulness, nothing more.

I could see using this as trigger for psi, much like takeV's psionic sigil. One could create a construct that is activated by the vocalisation of a word, and i imagine that it would carry more psygologocal "weight" if this name referred to yourself in a magical context as a sort of "alter ego".  Which i imagine would be better than any random mundane word used for such a construct due to that very "weight" it carries.
In one of Rupert Sheldrake's lectures he talks about mantras of the eastern indian traditions, and how those who were taught these mantras were also instructed to not use them arbitrarily in mundane conversations for the mantras would lose their power. This intrinsically creates a psychological emphasis of importance, in which he believes is where the mantra's power is derrived.

I can do what whatever. Sometimes i go to bars and i can pick up girls, sometimes rather easily. but only if i so choose. Most of the time though i do not feel like it. I simply hate people and i have to isolate myself often after being around alot of people.

edit; I do work nightshift so i could say my whole life is my nightlife.

Ugh, im so damn busy with work and my ged classes that i barely have time for making a vid but its in the works guys, no sweat.

Im not quite savy enough to produce a side by side in the same video yet. but soon i might be able to. This is gonna take a while.

That sounds resonable kobok i will just try wiggling it in my next video. Also should i create a separate control video for my first one? I did an unrecorded video test and with about the same force i spun it with earlier, the object kept spinning for over  ten minutes.
If i just wiggle the object like in my next one should i create a control for that as well?

I also have accuired a 16 megapixel fujifilm digital camera to shoot  better videos. I had also spraypainted the lugnut wrench green for better contrast. So i am open to setup suggestions, especially from you drew, you are helping me refine this tremendously.

Other objects i was thinking about using was a ceiling fan, or a childrens merry go round as that should be sufficiently large enough with its own set pivot, but i would need to find one that isn not severely unbalanced and unlubricated. I am open to suggestions for much larger objects because od the aforementioned, also as long as it is a freely spinning rotating object as i am most fanilliar with manipulating a rotating object.
And the reason is aa follows;
I will say this here and now, i am quite out of practice, and have meditated rarely for a while. This endeavor also has a personal agenda to motivate myself and keep me working towards a goal. That being said, i am not letting this become an excuse for myself as i am very familliar with my abilities as i have used them before, and they do not just go away with time out of practice.

Not many people attain immediate psionic focus, i will admit it takes some time for me to concentrate, and the point of larger objects is to rule out the increasing variables that come with using small objects like the psi wheel for a video.

But i have been working on the twisting string assertion and i went and bought some fishing line pivots of sorts and it seems i am up against a brick wall. Not without extreme anchoring all over my initial setup does the pivot work but then the fishing pivot is just so crude that it inhibits any fee motion of the object at all, so a completly new setup is possibly warranted or as you say, i need to showcase a better psi effect.
