Projection / Re: Questions

Wow. Thanks a lot, that really helped. I never tried those before. I was told about the alarm method, but I thought it was too much of a hassle and never tried it, eventually forgetting about it. I will most definitely give it a try. If I find myself paralyzed when the alarm rings, what then?

I'm pretty sure I've become aware of the differences between all of those things. The "dancing around" that I mentioned in my original post was pretty much me crossing the lines between consciousness and unconsciousness.....since like 7th grade lol. When I'm awake, I'm alive and I know it. I have developed a connection with the universe in a way. When I'm asleep, I know when I'm dreaming usually, but I don't think of it until I wake. And because I'm either conscious or dreaming most of the time, I often remember when I experience sleep paralysis, but it usually only happens when I wake up after going to bed tired. When I experience sleep paralysis, what should I do? What is the "step" I take to actually project?

Is it possible to project during a dream? I once experienced a strange phenomenon during a dream, but I don't know if I could call it astral projection. It involved speeding up the events of my dream and sort of "overloading my brain". In one dream, I was standing on the platform of a train station, and the trains kept going faster and faster until I lost balance, falling and spinning until everything melted away and turned white. It was like a blank page. Then I realized the possibility of AP and told myself to go back to sleep. In another dream, I took flight and ascended fast as hell until I left what should've been the atmosphere. Instead of going into space or projecting, or entering that "blank page", I merely entered another dream and my awareness drifted.

I used to have trouble falling asleep as a child, but not so much now. I often find it easy to "will" myself to sleep (or away from consciousness?). There are times where my mind is too active to drift off immediately though, and I end up taking like 45 minutes to an hour.

Thank you for your wisdom.

My current issue is this, I can't stay completely still. I keep My saliva tends to accumulate as well, or at least I am distracted in thinking that it does. What do I do when I feel "ready" to project? How do I go about doing it?

Uhh.......did I start something here? 0.o

But yeah, the vibrations I felt were produced from lying completely still for usually 30 minutes to an hour. I was going for the "body asleep" thing. It wasn't just tingling, it felt like strong pulsations through my legs. I also felt a strong sensation in my head that made me stop. It felt like being gently hit in the head, only every moment instead of just one strike. More than that, I saw colors and once experienced a phenomenon in which I apparently saw moving "waves" forming a triangular shape. It wasn't something I actually saw, but it was like the sparkles you "see" when you get dizzy (only they were triangular green waves lol). Like you guys said, it felt "dissociative", but other than that, nothing unusual from just lying down.

There was another time around a year ago where I stayed up a long time and then kept sleeping for about 15 hours. I kept waking up and going back to sleep until I just wasn't tired any more. After that, I "coerced" myself into sleep and ended up experiencing myself outside of my body. It wasn't too vivid, but I remember trying to go back into my body. It was like I laid on top of myself and tried to circulate energy, then I felt tingling go through my body and spread out until I blacked out and woke up shortly after.

Projection / Questions

Ok this is my first post here in a few years so let me clear things up. I'm 16 years old. I'm male. I've been dancing around with this whole projection thing since I joined Ki-Teachings when I was like 12. I often have extraordinary sleep related experiences, but I've never actually been able to project. Before summer is over, I want to actually make my first serious projection a reality. My goal is to have an OOBE and to visit the Astral/Mental planes. I have a few questions.

  • What precautions should I take before entering this wonderful world of projecting?
  • Will I have to train for this?
  • What position should I be in before projecting?
  • How long will it usually take to project?
  • Is it more important to remain still and not move my body, or clear my mind?
  • If I feel "vibrations" in my legs and nowhere else, what does that indicate?
  • From the time you "lay down" and the time you "get up", how long are you usually out for?
  • What method is most effective for etheric/astral projection?
  • When should I try to project? Before, during, or after sleep?

Thanks in advance.

Why is it that every time someone asks for someone's favorite band they list more than one? Oh well...

Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Metallica, System of a Down, Korn, Hoobastank, Sublime, Van Halen, White Stripes, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jane's Addiction, Queens of the Stone Age, Anthrax, Foo Fighters.
