Spirituality / What God do you believe in?
« on: February 27, 2005, 01:32:30 PM »
Personally I was raised to follow whatever religion my parents were. At first I was baptist, then seventh day aventist. But as I grow older in years and teenage abstract thought kicks in I start to wonder about the God I believe in. It seems as though he wants to keep us in complete ignorance towards the nature of the universe, and the more we act like simple sheep without thought the more likely we are to get into heaven.  conspiracy, or something more personal?

anyways I do believe in Jesus Christ ( i mean everyone should he was a real person) and I do trust him to help me through the life I was given, but Im just a little bit skeptical about a few things. Like why is it that the tree of knowledge was put in the garden of eden when he knew that our natural human quest for knowledge would lead eve to eat from it? did he want us to remain stupid or just unfamiliar? either way it kinda makes me wonder. And also, if there is only one all powerful god then what created him/her. is it pure energy or maybe just the thought of an all powerful creator brought it into exhistence?^_^

I believe there most definitely was a creator who created us in this universe, but that something else had to create it, and something else for it, etc. but theres a principle that states that energy is not created or destroyed, but can be molded. this leads me to believe that maybe we were not ever created but that there was energy that transformed ino a sentient being, and that being eventually learned to transform other energies into whatever we call ourselves now.

yeah im confused too
( resumes licking gods boots) :P  :P  :P  :O

I want to be a scientist. Astronomer to be specific. I have space dreams every night so if that is to be my career I hope to be the most knowledgeable in the field -_-.

Spirituality / Walk in.
« on: January 28, 2005, 10:56:27 AM »
I haven't been here for a while but I noticed this Walk In thing. I just read a Stephen King book and walk ins are supposed to be like beings from other realities or universes parallel to our own. Does this have anything  to do with this subject?

Magick / Can anyone Summon familiar spirits
« on: November 27, 2004, 11:19:10 PM »
Also before you try to enlist any historical spirits or ''familiars'' to fight along with you, you would need to judge the strength of your own spirit.I mean, if a historical spirit actually roamed the planet (and of course there would only be one), wouldn't they try to take your body. from having to roam around for so long? Plus what exactly would he or she do ?if you wanted to summon something for battle that corresponds to your element , you ought consider maybe the spirit of that element or just develop your own spirit to the point where it connects to the element of your choice. I may be able to help you if you would like Raven.

Yes Lightbringer, you are partly true, that I didn't like some of the answers I was given. But I was merely relating my opinion to what Void said.We aren't piles of brains or skin, we are very much capable of doing the things people only dream about. But then from the Christian perspective of life you must also realize that god created us to have some sort of purpose, and how could we fulfill this if we didn't have certain limits.

For instance , god didnt take away any of our sexual ''privaleges'' or possibilities, he only asked that we wait till we find the right person at the right time to keep it from becoming what has happened to our world today(pregnant teens,Hollywood,Beevis and Butthead,etc.).Plus we get personal guidance from someone who has remained perfect through his own human life and then died for the sins of an entire race of people. It doesn't get much better.

Then there's the prospect of making our own choices and proving our own purposes. Most don't understand that they can do entirely whatever they want, but  if someone in power doesn't like that action or choice they can have you done with.God simply says that we need to keep a few commandments, love someone who deserves it more than anyone else, and make choices that would benefit the well being of Earth and others.Yes, I believe Hell exists for those who choose not to literally meet their maker and do things that would demoralize and in the end defeat those things that good people have worked hard to create. But we completely have that choice and hopefully choose to take up that offer( is there a reason why we shouldn't?).

There are many subjects that cannot be touched on, what I basically meant is, if matter and a heart and energy were enough to understand god then we wouldn't need one. And no one has yet to understand god with brains aheart and a little energy.we'll just have to wait this thing out and see what happens on this matter.( Brain capacity at 10% and we'll never figure this out,ya!!)

thank you!  :elephant:  :elephant: I am this happy!

anyways. I also think that some people find it difficult to believe that God is real or  exists because of all the crap that is happening in the world(my friend and I were talking about this recently). On a much more serious note the subject of god is a very touchy subject and ive noticed that no one cares as much when buddah or aalah is mentioned .Its so simple what he wants , is for us to behave ourselves and stay clean till we get married , but everyone acts  like that is the hardest thing to do in the world.I personally believe it is a simple act but am continually  criticized by my peers for that(gives ''keep up the good work son'' speech to croud)

God, to me, without stating my religion, is a too complicated for brains to understand since before the beggining of time, being that is trying to save his unlucky race from being utterly destroyed by themselves.(takes breath and steps into shadows)

I have a very big fondess for mythology, especially when it ties directly into mythology. And then Artifacts are another thing, I like those because they cary a load of history behind them.

Other / Subconscious and Conscious

I also understand that if your conscious mind and unconscious mind came together,  you wouldnt remember much because even though the mind is considered to be infinite, you would have too much to at the same time. :cow: youd look like this forever :cow:

Psionics / Is Telepathy a rare gift?
« on: October 08, 2004, 02:27:07 PM »
is telepathy a rare gift at all?what I mean is, I think anyone can learn telepathy  because I wasnt born with that gift(as far as I know) and t it is very easy for me to seee into the mind of ,lets say,one of my friends or just someone I see everyday. :fightmonk .but i would agree with that''radio'' theory because I also think you have to sort out one persons waves  from everyone elses,as if they were all meshed together in a huge spiral of thoughts

Other / Subconscious and Conscious
« on: October 08, 2004, 02:12:33 PM »
I think that the subconscious mind was originally programed to perform specific tasks(such as send massages to the nerves, pump your blood and perform digestive stuff) and people began to try doing that themselves, they woild screw themselves up badly. But the thought of being able to unersstand EXACTLY what your body wanted and not just what your conscious mind wanted is very promising. :D
