Psionics / Re: Telekinesis...useless?

Thats so true. I've wasted YEARS doing it wrong. I was one of those people who thought that a psiwheel was it. I also thought that I was doing it with PK. Once I started practicing PK the right way it soon got much better for me.

What do you mean by "the right way"?  Dynamic psi?

My friend at work predicts what drinks clarinets are going to order.  I don't know if it would help your situation any, but it works for her.

Huh.  Learn something new everyday.  I live in the bible belt so I'm used to all the hypocrite baptists down here who curse magic and mysticism.

Drugs will make you think you have a stronger understanding of the spiritual, but after coming down from my first (and only) acid trip I realized they definitely hurt your spiritual walk more than they help it.  The occasional trip is fine, but don't make it a habit.  It can definitely change the way you look at the world, but you also will loose control of yourself, and then your new found knowledge will be useless.

Christians can be magicians too.

Well, not according to them.

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum so I decided I would stop asking so many questions and take some time to tell you about myself.  My name is JohnnyTruant.  If any of you get the literary reference, then kudos to you.  I am 17, currently attending Tarrant County College in Texas.  I was homeschooled all my life, so I graduated early.  Let it be known that I am not one of the socially awkward homeschoolers.  I have friends, and none of us wear camo shorts and long socks.  I am studying film and graphic design, and have a bit of talent in both. I plan on making it to California eventually, but whether that will happen or not has yet to be seen.

Growing up reading comic books like The X-Men and The Avengers I have always been interested in Psychokinesis.  It wasn't until a couple of years ago when I stumbled upon "The Parapsychology Revolution" by Roert M. Schooch, Ph.D. and Logan Yonavjak, that I learned it was real.  While it wasn't the most informative, it made me curious enough to do some of my own research.  I of course found psipog, shifted perspectives, and some other rather shady looking sites.  Most of these I was turned off by because they did not seem to be very open minded.  It was more of a "We're right. If you don't like it, go away." kind of feel.  When I stumbled upon The Veritas Society about a week ago I was instantly intrigued.  After reading several threads and multiple articles I had yet to feel alienated.  It seems to me that you guys take much more of a scientific approach and are more based in reality, which is what made me actually want to sit down, talk to you guys, and learn.  I am excited to know there is a place at which I feel comfortable in where I can study the world of Psi and be allowed to come to my own conclusions without judgement.

Well, perhaps this a little long for a introduction post but maybe now you guys have more of an understanding of why I'm here and that I'm actually serious about learning Psi.

For those of you I've already met, thanks for your help.
For those of you I have yet to meet, I look forward to the day that we do.

Why not just play craps at a casino instead? Use PK to roll that lucky 7 every time!  Sounds like a good plan to me.  But you'd want to be smooth about it or you'd probably be banned from every casino in vegas before you knew it.

Thanks Aurafire.  One more question then I will leave you guys alone I promise.  What do you guys know about q-link pendants and ogonite?  I stumbled upon them tonight and I had remembered Robert Bruce's name from somewhere on the forum.  Can they help with PK and Energy Work?  Or are they just a scam?

Okay, so as I read more articles and threads, more questions develop. I figured it would be better to ask them here than to start a new thread.

#1 - Does different color energy have different properties?  I have seen several people say that white energy has healing powers, black energy is negative, etc.  But I also read that you can visualize energy any way that you want.  Is this just a difference of opinion and philosophy?  I don't want to start a debate, but if so could you please explain what you believe to be true and why?

#2 - I saw a post where Mindlessinvalid referred to a time when he used to practice psi as opposed dynamic psi.  Could someone explain the difference in the two systems?

Thanks for all your help guys.

Well good to know I'm not crazy.  I closed my eyes while practicing earlier.  When I opened them the wheel has turned 180 degrees.  It would happen that way.  Lol.

I'm sure you guys are tired of hearing about all my small successes since most of you can probably do this stuff in your sleep, but I managed to get positive results with a method that I haven't seen on this forum or on the internet anywhere actually.  I was meditating on the psiwheel and when I closed my eyes I could somehow see the wheel's energy.  It was a nice blue.  I decided to try and absorb it and as I did my energy (apparently it's red).  Then when I was done I had created a new energy that was purple.  I envisioned the energy as a whirlwind around the psiwheel. Believe it or not, it moved.  I also managed to change directions of the wheel by changing directions of the whirlwind.  I still need practice of course because I can only move it very very slowly and gradually, but I think I'm getting the hang of it.  What I was wondering is if the method I used was actually psi, or something else?  Because I kind of feel like it may have been another force, but I'm new to all this and wouldn't know.

Thanks for all your help guys.  Today is my second day of practice and I managed to move the psi-wheel a few times today!  It is such an amazing feeling knowing I have the power to effect the world around me with nothing but my mind.  I will try the candle practice again soon since now that Mindlessinvalid helped clear up focal meditation I feel like I can actually connect with objects and become more aware of their energy or presence or whatever you want to call it.  Anything else I should know?

Hello, as you guys can tell, I am new to this forum, but I have been reading many threads here for the past few days, including Kobok's Dynamic Psi Class.  I have a few questions.

1. Focal Meditation - How is this any different from "void meditation"?  I meditate regularly and it seems to me the void meditation is simply focusing on "nothing". Perhaps someone could explain how to properly differentiate between the two.

2. I have tried several methods of practicing PK, including the pen rolling technique and the candle technique.  This afternoon I began to feel a connection with the flame, and could make it stand up straight.  However no matter what I tried, I could not make it bend to my will.  Is this normal for a beginner? Any tips?

3. What is the best way to start learning?  I feel like it may be harder to tell if one is actually controlling a candle, but I've read things about psi-wheels being known as kind of gimmicky and fake.

Thanks for your advice.
