Hello and Goodbye / leaving...
« on: September 10, 2004, 06:33:41 PM »
*points to title*

I know you're all bitching, "no, not another fucking leaving thread"..well, yeah.  I've come to realize I have a loooong ways to go on my path--and I need to do some self-searching.  I do not see myself going anywhere in this community, I dont see myself expanding my abilities if I were to stay here; so I am leaving.  This leave was probably expected by some--as I had been thinking of doing so priorly.  But..right now, I have alot to get figured out; and I have alot of problems on my it isnt so much the community but myself that is the cause of my leave.  I..have alot of inner issues and I have to deal with those accordingly--I trust this will be understood by the community.  This is my last post on the Academy.  I do not believe this place to be useful to me any longer.  As well, the only person writing articles on subject matter is Prophecy presently--and although I was interested in magick..I do not think I am ready to try treading that path.  I am going to stick to QiGong and soon will begin to dabble in Yoga.  I presently am best off staying away from the computer in general, due to personal problems.  I will post somewhat on TNM if I get the users there can look forward to a post or two from me.  I know that I was being considered for a Moderator position; and heard talk of a supposed teacher position from other members.  I would like it to be known that I hardly consider myself able to handle either position--especially that of a teacher if I really was being considered for that or not.  Veritas has helped me somewhat on my way, and I thank you all for plesant experiences and memories that I will keep dear.  If any of you still wishes to contact contact information is as follows:

perhaps you are more inclined to your 'feminine side', Crowley?  That's all I can really make of that you seem to be fond of feminine characteristics, and femininity (think I spelled that right) in general.  Could be wrong though..:\

Martial Arts / TKD Haters

Athiril: watch out, just becaus it says full contact doesnt mean it really is.  Unless it isnt tournament style Tae Kwon Do..the fighters are padded from head to toe, because again, it is tournament rules.  Thusly it isnt even real sparring--it's pathetic.  I remember one time during sparring at my old TKD school..we were in all pads and my teacher side kicked one of the other (I was a black belt, first dan at the time) black belts in the, this kid went flying.  He landed on his arse about 5 feet away..and was crying.  This guy was 2 years older than me, and he was crying because he got side kicked WITH PADDING ON.

Defender: it is irrelevant what kind of job they have--some people are fraudulant martial arts teachers just to make an extra buck or two.  I know, I've encountered a few or so.

Be Well.

Pi QuaN (not Qua) is the metal fist of Xingyiquan, yes.  It is the movement most akin to the modern-day knife-hand strike.  :)

Golden_Rod: use your judgement.  You should be able to tell via emotions, body language and how she articulates her speek if she is bothered by something you do or say.  If so, then do not rush things.  Let her know your desires--but let her know also that you are willing to take things slowly for her, because you love her.

Be Well.

I think I remember you slightly from a former incarnation--I was once known as Phoenix if you remembered that or not :P.  If not, I wouldnt be surprised--at the time I was a confused newbie to the OEC.  Good to have you back though, the more the merrier :).

Be Well.

Gunslinger- I know; I've had more than my fair share of bad relationships.  If it happens--it happens.  I will just ignore the pain and go on, just like I always have; just like I always do--with everything.  It may seem heartless, but I personally do not care for the opinions of others anyway.  I am in love with her--deeply and madly--however, if something were to happen, I can just as easily forget about her completely and go about my life.  It's through past hardships that I have became hardened this way.

I heed your words--but I know the story all too well, you dont have to show me something I've known for years.

Be Well.

Understandable, Kouji.  You are correct..and through this I have grown to see truths for myself as well.  This makes plenty sense; and it has made me question why I myself continue to linger on this website..presently it seems I only stay around to socialize.  If that is the case..maybe I should leave as well...I am going to continue contemplating this.

Namaste :)

and again, you are wrong.  I said the country was founded on WANTING tollerance; and that's why they came here.  They created their own government process and such (articles of confederation) and then the constitution.  From here America pulled itself together, and went through many periods of trial and error with regard to it's (the constitution) many ammendments.  The process as a whole is ever-changing.  Anyways, I again was expressing my opinions--opinions founded on observation of what goes on around me.  Just because you believe that I am following the 'anti-mainstream' trend doesnt mean that I am.  It just means you have misconcieved my motives ;).
