Psionics / psionics, a gift or a tool?
« on: December 17, 2006, 03:54:00 PM »
This question has two parts to it.
1) Do you believe that anyone (with practice etc.) can achieve any ability, or do only certain people have the ability to achieve certain abilities? In other words A) can anyone do psionics? and B) Is each person governed towards particular abilities based around their personality, or their soul, or their level of energy or whatever could possibly be the cause, or can any psionic practitioner do for instance, telekinesis. In addition, can one person through hard laborious work move an object with their mind perhaps an inch at most while having amazing telepathy with very little practice? Thus having a natural psychic ability, and if you believe this is because they are a "natural psychic", does that mean that the rules are different for people born with an innate understanding of this trade?

2) Is a psychic ability something obtained, or something given? Through your thoughts on whether it is obtained or given, does your answer give the ability certain rules or limitations? For instance, if it is something given is it bad to use it for something that you believe to be morally wrong because it was a gift? Or is this OK because it was given to you with full understanding of who it was being given to? If it is a tool does this make it a secular phenomenon meant for anyone and thus can be used anyway?

Psionics / Curious
« on: December 06, 2006, 10:12:38 PM »
Do you (for lack of a better title), practice only one skill or multiple skills? Do you see all abilities root as energy manipulation, i.e. related to each other on a fundamental level, or separate? Or do you see them connected in a different way? How do you personally practice your skill(s)? And finally, if you chose a particular ability to master, if it isn't too personal of a question, why did you choose that particular ability?

Psionics / Negative Effects During Meditation
« on: December 06, 2006, 10:06:22 PM »
I am curious if anyone else has experienced this, and perhaps has an idea of why it occurs. Whenever I go into meditation it is usual for the entire room to be covered in aura, or rather it becomes much easier to see all of the auras of the room with my naked eye. However, when I go too deep in meditation all of the objects in my vision shake. I bring up the prior because if I don't stop when that occurs the latter occurs. Now obviously I don't mean that the objects are physically shaking, but they appear to be shaking, and if I close my eyes it feels similar to when you drink too much alcohol. Usually my vision remains troublesome for about 30 minutes. My family has no history of schizophrenia, or other related diseases and this problem does not occur if I have not been meditating.

Hello and Goodbye / See you
« on: November 13, 2006, 10:43:10 PM »
I think I'm getting addicted to the internet, since I check it more than the healthy amount each day. The healthy amount being one, of course. So I think I'm going to head out for a while and do some self reflection, try to get down a few things etc. If anything interesting comes out of it I'll try to say something about it. That sounds a little arrogant. . .well, whatever. Everyone has their moments right? In any event I'm feeling a little lost, and I think it would be best to leave the screen.

Most likely I'll be back again, in a few months or earlier. So, as usual if I don't respond to some post directed at me than I apologize, it isn't that I don't care, it is simply that I don't exist.

See You,

Martial Arts / Capoeira Question
« on: October 25, 2006, 07:54:24 AM »
Can anyone here give me tips on how to do the s-dobrado enchaixada? (going over with queda-de-rins, not falling into queda-de-rins after getting in the air)

Psionics / Shpooon Bending
« on: September 08, 2006, 11:00:34 AM »
So, to help increase my waning focus I've turned to spoon bending. College and my personal life has led my emotions somewhat astray which has been harming my psionic training. Though I continue to meditate everyday I thought that this would be a fun way to help increase my focus while gaining a new skill perhaps.

So, I know this is a somewhat silly question to ask because it has to do with experiencing the feel of the spoon bending, and words can't quite describe how to will something etc. etc. but I suppose regardless I'd like to ask for some tips if people have any that can be applicable to others such as myself. In other words help please ^.^

Oh, not to be offensive but I would prefer the advice to come from those who have had significant success with spoon bending. People who have the ability to actually bend the spoon a noteable amount.

Morning dew, sunshine,
Hair blown through the windy cold
The grasshopper purrs.

Poets Anonymous

Standing at the podium for the first time,
Crinkled piece of paper in hand, more for novelties sake than convenience.
Sweat glistening on his brow he speaks:
Hello, my name is George, and I am a poet.
Some clap, others greet him, encouraging his reading onward.
Clearing his throat he reads:

Reading, and seeing through glasses
I thought to think
The unimaginable.
To portray a portrait I knew
With words. On the paper I wrote
Of my gold fish named Simon.
He died when I was twelve, and reborn as Simon 2 when I was thirteen.
He was my phoenix, my immortal inspiration
Whom I spoke to frequently. Lacking the proper tools for speech, he made an excellent listener.
Small, orange with vibrant scales and large glassy eyes. Eyes of Venetian glass. He spoke through motion, swish swashing through the water, his tail would speak first,
At times he even told jokes.
A prayer of silent films
Whom listens to me speak.

Looking up from the crinkled paper his expression that of surprise, there was clapping. And he thought to retreat to his seat
But they asked for another and not saying no he smiles and leaves.
Blushing from the inside out.

Psionics / On the subject of psychokinesis, as a term.
« on: June 25, 2006, 03:51:14 PM »
The world  and everything in it can be seen through complicated eyes, or simplified eyes. Neither eye is wrong, nor obsolete to the other. Neither is less effective. It is simply a different way to percieve.
Generalization in psionics can be taken to an extreme if the choice is made. One could simply say that psionics is the art in manipulating energy.
Throughout the years the subject of psychokinesis has arisen as a term that should classify anything "kinesis", if you will. Thus disbanding all terms that would be used to describe the manipulation of say water, or wind, or fire. A more simple way to percieve.
The issue, that has caught my eye in this discussion is that it is no longer proper to use the more specialized terms. Though, I will admit, there are certainly similar attributes to all of the "kinesis" skills I can not say that they are all exactly the same for each person. Even if the difference lies in the mind. Thus this can become dangerous, in my humble opinion, because by outlawing a more specific term certain individuals might have a harder time growing in the said subject. Furthermore, for discussion sake the ability to say "aerokinesis", for instance, can save time when explaining.
Let us use martial arts as an example. The term psychokinesis can be seen in a similar light as the term martial arts. Both terms are a general advocate for many similar yet differing forms underneath. Underneath the generalization of martial arts you have kungfu, capoeira, karate etc. and even those can be narrowed further to wing chun, tiger, crane etc. Each form following similar principles of the broad scope of martial arts yet still unique in their own way.
It isn't that generalizing is bad, but some simply do not understand something quite as well like that; prefering to see close up. I suppose this post really isn't neccassary, but I felt like it should be said. Whether or not anyone will agree isn't really my concern, so much as that side of the long debated argument could be heard.

Psionics / Manipulating the Wind, a question
« on: June 17, 2006, 04:00:53 PM »
When I use my energy outside wind always pops up. This has been the routine for a few years now and I've learnt that combining this with intent can produce wind in a specific location. The most specific I can get now a days is rolling a ciggarette on the ground for example.

Along with this when I am practicing basic energy manipulation such as a psi ball I tend to draw in the universal energy for the energy rather than using my own. The reason for this is that I have discovered this to be more efficient for myself anyways, and I figure it can't be too bad since (unless I'm horribly mistaken) this is similar to the idea of healing in Reiki.

Recently, at times when I am outside and choose to practice forming a ball of energy wind begans to blow in a circular manner around my hand. Along with this I have discovered by focusing this intent I can blow things around in a more focused manner than otherwise, though once the wind leaves my hand I have to start over again.

So basically this is where I throw out a few questions:
Has anyone here experienced this, and if so have you found it to be useful for anything? (beyond gaining more focus).
To expand on that, where do I go from here?
Is it possible for this to be done indoors?
Has anyone experienced a (somewhat atleast) similar experience with other elements? For instance a lit candle being effected in a unique manner by the formation of a psi ball? Or water begining to move etc.

Projection / Problem when coming back
« on: December 01, 2005, 01:44:30 AM »
Recently when astral projecting when I come back into my body I have been having some issues. All of the objects in the room begin shaking back and forth rapidly and my body feels numb and I can not move my limbs. Any ideas on why this is happening to me?

Note: until further research I have decided to cease performing astral projection.

Magick / Magic or Magick?
« on: December 01, 2005, 01:41:19 AM »
This may seem like a worthless post but believe it or not it is interesting to me. Do you spell magic in the more traditional way, as "magic" or the way Aleister Crowley spells it as "magick"? Why?

Magick / Dark Magick
« on: December 01, 2005, 01:39:55 AM »
Is dark magick dark in your opinion? Basically, what constitutes magick as dark or light? Is it unethical to aproach dark magick? How far does the definition of dark magick reach? Is psychic feeding dark magick?

Magick / keys of Solomon

Does anyone here use the keys of solomon? If you do is it effective in your opinion?

Martial Arts / Shinkendo?

Basically I'm curious if anyone has taken the art Shinkendo and if so were their experiences with the art postiive or negative?
