« on: October 21, 2004, 04:57:03 PM »
I am looking for a good magickal - book that would suit my level or study, but am lost in the sea of knowledge.

So I have decided to through caution to the wind and ask for your input into what would deepen my insight.

Preferably written in modern times or in simple fashion, heavy on insight, low on theorey :)

Psionics / Energy Experience
« on: September 22, 2004, 06:10:14 AM »
Dont know if this is the correct forum but I have increasing awarness of energy.

My heart area seems almost like a growing fire (best I can describe it) (feel this on and off but appears to be growing in intensity)

My head feels like it has so much energy sometimes that my hair feels like it would stand on end if my head wasnt shaved :) If I concentrate on this it gives and amazing rush almost as if my energy is going right into the sky.

What actual made me post was another sensation.

Like bolts of electricity (electricty is the best way I can describe it) travelling from one side of my brain to the other accompained with a strange noise (a noise you would maybe imagine from sparks of electricity) - these bolts come quite out the blue and arnt connected with any altered st8es. This occurence has happened twice and I find it highly baffling. Its not like the other energy I felt is very abrupt.

I also get a electrical type charge in my temples?

Have others experience energy like this - especially the inner jolts from one side of the brain as they are abrupt jolts like shots of electricty and are unlike the other energies I feel.

Thansk for any replies in advance.

Other / Psychology - Metaphysics
« on: September 21, 2004, 06:50:19 AM »
Would psychology and  metaphysics section be a good idea for this site to increase the intellectual aspect of study.

Psychology and Metaphysics have much to offfer a student in my opinion as they incompass many of the topics here in a slightly more scientific light.

Im interested in reading Jung at the moment -  his works are intertwined with psychology, but his life and work is heavly tainted with the paranormal.

Its an analogy and is in very apt to this site - If you can read this a feel nothing - I urge you to check that you still have a heart :) Like many great books like the Little Prince or Alice in wonderland it can be read on various levels  and enjoyed by both adults and children.
A link for all you unlimited gulls - but I would also buy a copy.

Spirituality / Affinity With Nature
« on: September 02, 2004, 03:26:19 PM »
This may sound rather strange - but since I have started trying to get more into nature and into the oneness I have seemed to form some sort or strange feeling towards trees.

My affinity to trees was fleeting and sometimes they just seemed like material - but ever since my experience of light - everytime I look at nature and especially trees Im quite stunned :)

Does anyone else have a particular affinity to trees and why do they seem to have such imesnse presence.

Spirituality / Dangers Of Searching For Truth
« on: September 02, 2004, 09:00:31 AM »
Firstly why do so many search for TRUTH. :)

Easy once one undcovers certrain obvious lies that they once believed as fact they think " well what is the TRUTH"

Now this is where the danger enters the equation - now that you have discarded you old TRUTH as flawed or falsity there is little truth available among the sea of lies.

Say you discard one belief system/religeon there are many other believes system and indoctrinated followers that would wish you to join there ranks and confrim to their doctrine. Some of these systems are more harmful than others and often the indoctrinated followers do not wish you deliberate harm they are simply brainwashed themselfs.

The most dangerous belief systems are thoose that set out to deliberatly brain wash and debilitate followers ( I yet to encounter a system that does not contain some controll and doctrine) - these are often termed cults when there primary goal is to delibratley brain wash - rather than passivley. Some wish to try and reprogram you on a subconscious level and make you belief that your subconscious truths are in fact more reality based than the conscious brain - this is a very dangerous practice and can cause insanity and dillusion.
Often a frame work of teaching is applied to dissorientate the person and then subconsious programming of nonsesne begins. Then a new often ridicolous reality can be created. Imagine your self a maluable construct under there control. Thankfully we have solid reality ie. The 3 Dimensions - which however you try and negate will always be there :) A tree is a tree is a tree.

Often the wisest of men become leaders of knew religeons/cults/countries etc. These searchers of the truth often end up believing in eclectical ideas and reformulating them or coming up with there own inane comprehensions. Strangley enough once they clear there conditioned mind (as long as someone hasnt cleared there thoughts and tried to reprogram them) and see stark reality - which a buddhist would be rather happy with, they are not happy and wish to construct some more fantastic and delude themselves.

WHY

Because they once searched for the truth and wise enough to see all the obvious errors - but then from there learning and imagination the start to build there own construct of religon/doctrines etc - to fill the void.

In some cases soem cult leaders have started out to make money employing brainwashing and other psyche methods simply to gain control and make money from weak minds and have even started to believe there own nonsense - there is excellent example of this - but I wouldnt want to feel the wrath of a certain cults followers :)

These are a few thoughts I will build into a cohesive topic  (just a frame work at the moment)- all are welcome to discuss and I hope that this helps some on there learning as I wouldnt wish any to be the prey of falsity. :)

Some of this can be applied to many issues - anything that envolves brainswashing and manipulation of truth and reality.

Magick / Magick
« on: August 26, 2004, 06:39:32 AM »
Interested in what schools magick forum members adhere to and WHY.

In my opinion they all boil down to the same essence but have different methods, some may not even be termed magick but are - in essence very similar.

Though not a practioner of sorts myself - I would adhere to the pardigm of chaos magic.

WHY

It appears to be more condensed and apt in our current time, though I still find it a little missleading and meddeling.

So what doctrines do you study and why are they apt in 2004.

Spirituality / White Light
« on: August 21, 2004, 10:51:07 AM »
Has anyone expereinced the white light - sudden internal flash like lightning and a vision of pure white light in the minds eye instead of the normal darkeness and a feeling of bliss/oneness absolute freedoom.

What could suddenly trip this in a person all of a sudden while walking - who wasnt mediatating or trying to create this?

Projection / AP/Lucid Dream/Dream
« on: August 21, 2004, 08:05:43 AM »
Whatever you want to call this - heres a little info from last night.

Get into the zone - then start to feel like my thought process is collapsing/folding into itself downwards instead of outwards (sorry best way I can describe it) the feeling is accelerating downwards through my entire body in a rushing feeling. Thought process accelertaing backwards at a furious rate - - then all of a sudden blinding insight f0ordward once more and calm.

Could this be AP or the begining of?

Magick / Book Recomendations
« on: August 10, 2004, 03:48:13 PM »
Looking for some examples of texts to read that are not full of shit and are not written so that a whole book must be read for one or two insights.

I have no interest in fantasy - but enjoy reading books on magic.

To make my interest more obscure I have ZERO intertest in spells - rituals - signals and all these other supposed magical topics.

Im more intrest in the genre in a more conceptual manner - if this makes any sense, I am more interested in these text for increasing self discovery than gaining any obvious skills abilities.

All reccomendations of legitimate truthful texts please post. If Ive read one spell Ive read them all, Im not dismissing the practices but have no interest in conditioning my mind for illusion or gain.

Main Hall / Evoloution
« on: August 06, 2004, 04:10:24 PM »
Intrested in the forums opinions on evoloution.

Did we evolve from monkeys :)

Why then are all other species of monkey - simply - well monkeys - why are we so radically different?

What could have suddenly transformed our species of mokey in MAN?

Now if other mokey species were on a similar evoloutionary path - I could perhaps except the theorey.
