Sorry couldn't resist.

Projection / What do you think happened?
« on: July 19, 2004, 02:57:02 PM »
I'm forgetting who, maybe someone has heard about it.
But a study was done on cats to block the chemicals that cause sleep paralysis. Without those the cat just got up and ran into things in its sleep.
Maybe where sleep walking comes from. Hrmmm.

I've seen some really interesting things done with this research.

Projection / going to fantasy universes in the astral
« on: July 09, 2004, 01:36:01 PM »
Now I don't know about the whole jogging AP idea.
I have been able to use running as a form of meditation before.
And there are certain chemical changes that happen while doing a long distance run.
So it might be possible to enter a trancelike state while running.
But being able to maintain a conscious AP while doing so, seems a little far fetched to me as well.

Projection / going to fantasy universes in the astral

Well yes of course you can go to it.
It does take a little doing, but it is possible to carve your own little niche into (or out of, dunno) the astral plane.
I've recently been working on a project to see if others might be able to access my own personal area as well.
You can think of this as just a really large thought form if you like.
It is quite fun i suggest others try as well.

Oh good its not like your asking for much there. (Sarcasm)
I don't even know where to start.
To make it easier on my poor head how about you describe what you think it is then we can comment on your preexisting view. Umkay?

Projection / OBE Poll

Since I don't feel like signing up for another forum I'll post it here.

1. Male.
2. Yes.
3. Yes, 145.
4. No.
5. Not that I can think of.

6. Not on a per night basis but yes.
7. Possibly but nothing conclusive. (some psiwheel work, etc.)
8. Yes.
9. No.
10. No.
11. If bye OOBE you are referring to a low astral or ethereal projection then yes my movement at this time feels heavy and sluggish. If you mean just any lucid dream/astral projection then no.

Magick / Harry Potter`s influence on modern magick practicers
« on: June 23, 2004, 05:37:15 AM »
My two bits.
I personally think that the whole idea behind Harry Potter is bull.
Muggles (spelled correctly?) being separate from the mage class.
Damned elitists. And I personally can't get behind anything they try to call magick. But, that doesn't mean that i feel the books are inherently bad.
Far from it. I have yet to read any of the book, far to much on the to read stack for that. However, I have seen all of the movies so far. Taken just for entertainment value they are not bad at all.

Do I wish there was a college out there like Hogwarts?
Yes, with a better name perhaps and a little less silliness.
I would love to find a place where Sorcerers, Mages, and other such could come together, share ideas, and just have fun with the whole thing.

(rambling complete)

Projection / OBE While Dead

It's not that uncommon for people in a coma to ethereally project.
There was one story in particular where the man had been in a coma for several months. A psychic (thats what they referred to him as) was called in to see if he could contact the man. After some time he reported that the man didn't wish to come back, he was ready to pass on. But the thing that surprised the family the most was that he had supposedly been guarding his body with a broom. This was his weapon of choice the family said.

After all the rambling (My thoughts are far to disorganized these days) I hope it's at least somewhat interesting to someone, but the point is that such things have happened before. I'm not sure myself how it saved you as you put it, but perhaps the experience will lead to more interesting voyages.

Projection / Afraid to Astral Project
« on: June 18, 2004, 04:35:13 PM »
Holy hell kakkarot, when did you get over a thousand posts?

Anywho ann easy way to keep track of your physical body is to use what I've heard called the silver cord. There was a group there for awhile stating that your astral body was always connected to your physical through said cord and that if it were cut then you wouldn't be able to get back. I find this rather amusing. To be point blank astral projection is safe and fun for the whole family, It has some interesting practical applications and can be relaxing. Just remember that you can return at any time and don't fear, thats all I can say.

(Rambling like there's no tomorrow, cause hell maybe there aint.)

Oh and on another note, getting stuck in the planes, sheesh I would be so lucky. My biggest problem is staying there long enough to remember what I'm trying to accomplish. Large scale work is hard for me :)

Projection / AP and dreaming
« on: June 18, 2004, 04:27:01 PM »
Well there are actually techniques.
I've used the following on several occasions to ethereally project from a lucid dream.
While lucid dreaming to envision a door.
It can be one already existing in the dream or just have one spring up.
Imagine where you want to go, in my case to the ethereal (the plane closest to reality, if your wondering, you can sorta move around like a ghost, see things in this world and all, blah blah blah) then open the door and step thru. Thats really all there is to it. I find that the mind reacts to change easily if you use some sort of proxy, such as the door for transport (at first I used to drive to the astral, Id just get in a car and head out, fun times, but where was I) Oh yes, another use is for summoning objects or creating thought forms, I find a bag is handy, you can just pull out what you need.

Pardon the disorganized thoughts and ramblings, but I hope it helps.

(It's been a very long day n_n)

Yes, congratulations.
It will get easier with practice. So don't get frustrated.

Ok so someone's a pervert. But still he asked a question. our job is to help. not to advise. The idea here is to ensure he gets what he wants as long as you can assume he knows the concequences. So no matter what intention just help.

What do you mean our job?
We don't have to do anything.
And quite frankly if this is his motivation to learn to AP I could care less about helping him.

I actually like his writing style. It is in some semblance of order, but more importantly it simply describes the emotions that he had at the time.

Are you just sharing the experience, or are you asking some question?
