Martial Arts / TKD Haters
« on: September 11, 2004, 03:08:59 PM »
The dojang I am attending does not have the students pay for the lessons. Both of my instructors believe that whoever wants to learn Tang Soo Do shouldn't be stopped by a lack of money.

The same thing has happened to me. I was training a week or two ago and I decided to just make up a form. At my next class I saw one of the Black belts (Our black belts are actually dark blue) was practicing his form and it was almost exactly like the one I made up.

I have tought myself to fight with a knife, a staff, marbles, metsubushi, a binder  (Like one you take to school), a stick that looked a lot like a bokken, and a shoe (don't ask me why    ). I have used everyone of those in a fight (except for the knife and shoe) and won.

Body Energy Arts / Shin Splint?!
« on: May 14, 2004, 02:54:05 PM »
When I first started running with my school's cross country team I got shin splint all the time. YOu get shin splint when the arch of your foot is pushed down so it kind of pulls your muscles in that area down with it. I'd recomend getting some sort of arch insole for your shoes.

Body Energy Arts / Leg Sweeps
« on: May 05, 2004, 02:01:53 PM »
Hey, guess what everybody? I'm baaaaaaaack. I've haven't been here for a while because:  1. I've been focusing on my trainging harder than I ever have befor and 2. Because we found a Trojan on my computer and just recently had it reformatted. So, anyway, I've been working on leg sweeps but I'm having a little trouble getting the other person off balance, except when I sparr with a friend of mine who has the WORST balance in the world. So does anybody have any training techniques or things of the sort that would help?

Body Energy Arts / Horse Stance

It's also used in Wushu. I tried again tonight (tuesday) but I only held for two minutes 'cause it was after class. Oh, this a little off topic but tonight at class my master broke one of the training bats on the 4th gups. The look on the faces of the tenth gups was hilarious.

I just did a horse stance with my upper legs completely parralel to the ground! I held it for about four minutes and then I collapsed  :p . It's part of my new training schedule.

I had an OBE without even trying to. I started to trance and I thought I was going to do some precognition but I found myself just outside my window.

Actually, I can see chi too and I saw the first day I started radchi (I was extremely stupid then) I made a chi ball (UGGH!!! *I shiver unctrolably*) and I saw a green mist. Now that I've been training in tradchi I think it's just aura or something like that.

Body Energy Arts / Color of the Belt
« on: March 19, 2004, 11:56:56 AM »
I'm a 9th gup in Tang Soo Do (white belt with stripe) but I have beaten every single 2nd gup in sparring in less than five seconds. How do I do this? you might ask. I train my freakin' ass off. When I'm not on veritas I'm either training or thinking up new combos. I'm also a white belt in judo. I've been to three classes and I've already beaten a green belt in  randori. Unfortunetly I'm not very humble so if somebody could come to my house and beat me up it would be much apreciated.

Sim, I'm only 13 but I have more common sense and a higher IQ than nearly everyone I know. Also most people my age wouldn't try anything that could possibly hurt themselves. Oh, and Trillis could I get a link to your site.

Other / Some Meditations.

There was a psycology experiment where they had three groups of people have a basketball contest to see which group could make the most free-throws. The first group didn't practice at all, The second group practiced for thirty minutes everday, and the third group went to the basket ball court for thirty minutes everyday and just visualized making the shots. The second group won but the third group was only behind by a couple shots.

I think it's called Kong Jin. I've heard about masters of Kong Jin doing this.
