Ok, is this guy real or not?....his levitation thing looks pretty real, but then again it's tv.

meh, he never does it with his feet apart. And if he's on TV I doubt he's real.

I wish he's have some sort of magician tour thingie and come to Seattle, (near where I live) then real people off the street could come and see him, and you wouldn't think that the people on the show are always in on it, since it would just be real people hangin ou t in the city.

.... Spooky guy like him, C'mon! Seattle is a great place for him to visit. :D

I love you people who protest fruity protests, It helps me see both sides of the issue instead of being blinded by do-goody ness.
I sure wouldn't want to have any part in ruining the food chain.

But as for the milk thing, I hate milk. But to ban it is just silly. Even though it's the chemical hormone or whatever that causes cancer, it's not like the major dairy farmers are going to stop using it so they can fill their milk quotas. Therefore, it's part of the milk. I'd rather get my calcium and vitamin D from other sources anyway.
It's a personal preference, but for me, milk has a HORRID aftertaste, always has, always will. It's not something my taste buds have grown out of.

:cow: Poor bessie.. always on them drugs.. longing to be with ya sisters on those new/old-fangled organic farms.

nah... Still don't like the fact milk comes from COW.... >_< I'll stick with soy, or rice milk instead.

how long have you been at it? I practiced for like a month everyday for like, 40 min?, then moved a bottlecap on water like a boat.

Only like I was ever sure of it, because it was in a closed tupperware, and ti went AWAY from the edge of the tupperware.... like. 1 inch. Now I haven't been practicing recently, so I'm not good at anything right now.

Martial Arts / CAPOEIRA!
« on: October 26, 2005, 06:17:03 PM »
:elephant: Ok, so I was looking around and I founf out about this Brazilian style of fighting which combines dance and animal movements and it's called capoeira and it looks really neat!.. So my topic is, has anyone here ever done/tried capoeira? and is it fun? I'm thinking anything that combines dance into it that it's gotta be fun, I'm thinking of saving up some money and going to my local capoeira school in Bellevue. ^_^  And it was invented by SLAVES! How cool is that? huh?

I've only had one geisting experience myself, so I'm not exactly the most knowledgeable person on the subject, but meditation helps with most meta-physical practices.

same here, And I wasn't stressed, I was happy, and singing too.

I'm keeping this topic open for the sake of physics...plus, I wonder what would actually happen to your body when struck by the energy of 72 bolts of lightning.
Your body will be torn apart molecule by molecule ofcourse; but we don't know how much energy that actually takes. There could be a lot of excess energy, that has to go somewhere too. Or too little energy, only your feet will be turned into atom dust, the rest just in crumply, unrecognizably charred human powder. Makes one wonder :-\

If you're ripped apart molecule by molecule,  What happens to the atoms? do they get riped too? I don't wanna become a human bomb!

Welcome, Iam sorry if there been a thead like this before Iam to lazy to search the other pages, but how do you get things to move.

I personal use will power. Just looking at the object, subconsily knowing the goal to move the object. Ive sat like this for sometimes up to two hours trying to move my lava lamp. Two hours you say, nope I'am not mad but I hate giving up on things.Probly that determination that makes me so good with tk.I am getting a webcam soon (Woo...) and Ill record me moving some stuff and put them up on my server. Ill also add a ftp account for anyone to use and upload stuff the server.
O_O... are you sure you want to start out with a lava lamp? those things are darn heavy!!!
unless you're talking about the cute keychain kinda.

Projection / Has Anyone Ever Had an OBE While Meditating?

Yes I have had an obe whilst meditating. I was doing internal meditation, just in a really deep trance, when it was as if i gently stepped backwards out of my body. I could see everywhere around me at once, and i was a single point of awareness with no body.

It only lasted for a brief moment then i was back inside, and i opened my eyes, and that was it.

EDIT: just thought i'd add that when you have full vision, its as if you're examining and are aware of everything around you all at once all the time. It truely is surreal.
cool! that's the same thing that happens when i try to sleep obe. I've tried the meditaing one it's just not as easy for me though. when i try (or not try) i would feel like i'm falling down into the ground or my bed or something.
