Magick / Re: No progress
« on: July 22, 2007, 04:40:26 AM »
You should try keeping a journal to see how far you progress. Record the things that happen for you, no matter how small they are--it all comes together in the big picture if you know how to put together the parts. Also, try other kinds of practices in magick to keep yourself fresh, so you dont get stuck in a rut. You would be suprised how much your skills in one area can improve when you focus on another type of magick for a while.  Magick isnt just about practicing..Its about living. Magick is something that you live, and it lives through you. Seek to know it, be hungry for knowledge.

I seek magical knowledge to see if it is possible.

Heh. To seek magick to see if it is possible? Yeah. Well, see- Eternal Student- there are many things that you have yet to expereinece, you do not have prior results and you basically have nothing to go on right now. This is how it all begins.

Magick does work- alot of us here can attest to this. Its just a matter of knowing how it works and why it works. You must develop a hunger for knowledge and a thirst for wisdom.  Its all there for you to use and play with when youre ready to make that life changing commitment.

If you are comming to magick late in life it will take some time to find your ground, and to clear away alot of old and useless habits that will hinder your success. This is because you have lived a lifetime without knowing of magick, and what you think you know will slowly be stripped away to reveal a new reality....

Magick is not a singular act, cast. Its not just a ritual that you bring out and then put away when you are done- it is something that you LIVE

This advice i can give: "Know thyself"

Magick / Re: Beginning to assemble a library - seeking advice
« on: March 11, 2007, 11:50:29 AM »
Hey  I read your post on the forum, where you said that you are putting together a library of occult knowledge. Some of the most basic books are, "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu,  "The Tao", "the witches bible" By Jan and Stewart Farrar...Cornelius Agrippa's works, "prometheus rising" Robert ANton Wilson,  "The tree of life" (hermetic magick) by Israel Regardie...  I could go in and on.  Youll find that alot of books actually just refrence other books.
When you build your library, it is a process that takes many years to do. It is something that is never-ending as well.

Here is a link to a site which has alot of great books on magick, prolly 150 books or more on various subjects:

My Friend's occult library.. its quite extensive

Classics of Magick

And as if that werent enough. this library is HUGE. Freakin Huge.

Here is a listing of my own personal library of actual books that ive collected over the years.

Magick / Re: Summoning spell question
« on: March 04, 2007, 10:06:10 AM »
Yeah, You really dont need the physical trappings of ritual magick to summon the being you want to have contact with.
The whole idea is to use things within the ritual to evoke the proper intent and will to enable this to happen.
With or without this "spell" it all comes down to intent. Use it if it helps you to reach this state but realise. this spell came with nothng else but an "evocation" and no other instruction with it.

always tough that summoning is an act and not a spell, so might this spell work or is it just for educational purposes and using entities this way is not possible?
Well; technically no, it is not. A spell is a working of magick that is created moved and maintianed by the magickan upon thier own will and desires; a summoning is the contact of a spiritual entity, a seperate influence outside of the will of the magickan. This entity therefore effects the world if the magickan depending on the type of evocation used (wether invocation or evocation) and it is a different process with different mechanics involved.  The two are not the same- but hey some would argue that anything metaphysical is magick and is therefore a spell.

Im a satanist and im tired of people calling me wiccan. I waer my pentagram often, and ive had people ask me if im Jewish!
Calling satanism insulting is pretty naieve, itself.. Satanism is a philosiphy based on the works of Anton Lavey. Do some reading on a subject before you expose your ignorance by bashing something that youve never studied before in your life. Youll look more educated.

Magick / Re: help with a negative entity
« on: December 29, 2006, 08:05:44 AM »
dont forget; apartments carry alot of energy, both from the people that live there and the people that die there. When a person moves out it could take 6mos or more to be rid of the energies that were there from the people before you. Even if the people there did not practice magick, they still had energy that attracted wayward spirits(possibly). Another possibility is that since you do magick, they are becomming attracted to your psychic energy like a beacon. I suggest you find some sort of banishing that will work for you. even if you just ask them to be at peace or get out. It works.

When I was in a relationship, my p;artner did not like my magick practices. This made it hard for me to do what i wanted to do.. I had to take it on a daily basis..Back then , I would walk for 2 miles down to the beach to do my rituals at night. For me, it was worth it. It was my time to do what i needed to do, and I was able to be alone.  Later, when i broke up and moved out. I got my own apartment and made half of my bedroom a ritual space.

IT ALREADY EXISTS

If ya think about it, we all have been here for a while now, sharing ideas and thoughts together. Many of us join in the chatroom as well, making connections there too. Part of this egregore is the feeling you get when you click on Veritas in your favorites list and the page loads. That feeling you get when you come to the site. This is all a part of the energy of Veritas- and I think its Awesome.

I came here for a reason, because I see a group of people, teaching and learning. I see progress, action, reaction. There is a melding of mind and spirit here because we come here to meet at a crossing on the roads of the paths of the occult and spiritualty. This place Rocks.  It already exists. Feed it.

Spirituality / Re: Lucifer
« on: October 25, 2006, 09:33:56 PM »
exactly. And if youre looking for Lucifer, look to luciferianism. Much different and more gnostic than satanism. Yes, there is a difference. If you want to call yourself a satanist, learn the different paths of satanism. Not only that- your sprouting off about the 11laws is about as non-satanic as you can get. A satanist, following laws and mandates set forth by thier religion? please.
