Magick / Re: Initiation into Heremetics - I am stuck on Step 1!

A huge amount of pressure accumulates
Then you're not relaxing. I'm not criticizing, just pointing out the obvious.

There's a lot of people and groups out there who think that meditations are automatically relaxing, but they are not. There are a lot of meditations and mental exercises that are exactly the opposite; focal meditation is one such practice. It takes effort to focus; it takes even more effort to focus while also relaxing yourself properly. The best way I can think of to do this is to start doing relaxation exercises until you're really good at those, and then incorporate them into your focal meditation exercise.

For instance, when you take a deep breathe for the first two or three breaths in, tense up your entire body and mind. Then as you breathe out, slowly relax your body and mind with the exhalation. If you need to, do just the body first; tense up the muscles as you breathe in, relax as you breathe out; continue until you're relaxed, then do the same for the mind (don't even bother paying attention to whether the body then starts tensing up or not; it doesn't matter at this time. Focus on the mind). Focus on either your breath or your body, or your breath or your mind. When the practices are paying off, and you are relaxed both physically and mentally, then release the focus in the mind and just let yourself Be.

The above example will eventually technically satisfy the "vacancy of mind" requirement, but it won't do so from a focal meditation point of ... wait... what part of the first few exercises in IIH had anything to do with focal meditation again? Please quote the parts where Bardon talks about concentration and focus.

~Steve

In Step 1, there's just the thought control, discipline of thoughts and subordination of thoughts. "Focusing" in the sense of a "concentration exercise" is not part of Step 1, as far as I'm aware. That's something which comes later in Step 2, where concentration exercises are executed for visual, auditory, sensory, olfactory, taste. Later in step 3, the magickan actually moves on concentrating on actual objects. What in fact Bardon said about "focus" in step 1 was, that we should be able to focus on the current work we execute. For example, if we're at school, our thoughts are focused only on school during that time and not drifting somewhere else aka daydreaming or thinking about ponies. We should learn to control our thoughts at will. The reasons for this are not only of purpose of being able to do even magick practice (later when we actually have to focus, which also includes a partial part of having your thoughts under full control) but also when we later learn about the beings on the mental plane, the elementals, which can have a strong influence to the person who has not full control of his thoughts and (additionally) not worked on his soul mirror yet.

Thank god, I never joined them after I read through the experiences people had. Earlier I had thoughts of maybe joining TDS and after they announced the enrollment, I was really about to do it. However, fortunately, I found the blog (TDS Sanctuary) who gave more light on this school. As a normal person would do, I first read about positive experiences people had with TDS (older topics) and later read about the negative experiences + the blog. I really thought for quite a while and came to the final conclusion, that I won't apply for the school. I think it was also a really stupid idea of even thinking about joining them, first off because I'm still really young (I just turned 18 on nov 12) and because (in case the negative experiences are the honest truth) it could have possibly ruined my future life. I'm still :headwall: simply because I seriously thought I would need a teacher, when in actuality, there's no need for a teacher to evolve in your path, especially if you're walking the hermetic path. It's funny that there are still people out there who claim otherwise, but you can reach the same goals, as TDS describes them on their site, without a teacher. Also, "schools" only seem to limit your own potential and we shouldn't forget that the methods, in case they really work, do not necessarily have to have the same (positive) effects like it's described in occult literature.

You can reach the same goals with the IIH. It doesn't require a teacher, it's exercises are built up in a way that, even if you're a workaholic, you can benefit from it and can offer it the free time whenever possible. Sure, it might require more self-discipline and also attention when teaching yourself alone. But I think that's practically what makes you really develop spiritually. You become wiser, you learn to control yourself more and more and you are able to think for yourself alone instead of getting this or that and having to do it no matter what without questioning it. I don't see anything wrong though if you ask some more advanced person, who walks the same path like you, for some hints and things to keep in mind when doing this or that exercise. It only strengthens critical faculty and gets you to pay more attention to your actions. But then again, we need to keep in mind that these so-called "experts" also might be as well frauds who are lying to you. So, in the end, you even have to be critical and objective when it comes to asking some "expert" for practical information on any kind of subject.

No to schools, yes to self-teaching with caution.

Of course, in the end, I cannot really judge over TDS, because I never really joined them nor I saw the teachers in real life. So, this is practically just more of a self-realization that schools like TDS are not required and can be reached by self-teaching and someone who says otherwise is a person to me who is blended and way too adhered to the ideals of whatever they belong to. Of course, that doesn't mean that any TDS student is acting like that. I'm sure there might be some who are more open-minded and doesn't strictly defend their school whenever it is criticized without having a serious critical look on the school on their own first.

Greetings,
Messiaen.

For anyone wanting to know more about TDS, some former students have started a blog about it, and it's being updated regularly.

Thank you. Yeah, I saw the site being posted by Rodz on the Veos commentary topic. It definitely gives a very different picture of this so-called "school" and if I weren't blended by their "intellectual" knowledge earlier (when I was first starting), I could have realized that myself. A while ago I really thought of maybe joining as a Probationer, but from what I read so far they're a dangerous group and the so-called "masters" and "gurus" Prophecy and Vamos claim to be, are most likely just frauds, who acquired a significant theoretical knowledge about occultism in general, but have less or no practical experience on what they were/are doing. Of course, I can't say for sure because I never meet them myself. But from what I read, I will better keep away from it. I want to live a little bit longer and not end up in an hospital because of the inexperience of self-claimed gurus.

Thank you very much for this criticism, it was enlightening. It's saddening me that Veos and Prophecy abused the IIH and try to comment it while they most likely never practiced it on their own. I nearly went into their trap at the beginning, as I was starting with IIH, and fall for their words. Another reason why you should practice the IIH completely alone and follow bardon's words instead of searching for help on a forum or persons. You may never know who they are and if they really possess practical knowledge.

Main Hall / Re: CajeASM - MIPS R4300i Assembler

Currently working on implementing new pseudo-instructions for MIPS code. Basically to load floating-point values (write 2.69) instead of using an IEEE to hex converter. Will soon post an update to this.

Main Hall / CajeASM - MIPS R4300i Assembler
« on: July 23, 2015, 10:27:50 PM »
I've been working a lot with assemblers recently, just love the way how they work. So, I decided to write a MIPS Assembler myself and put in some cool features, such like upper and lower half recognition, variables/defines, etc. Basically this is a MIPS Assembler which I made for another community which still profits from it. It supports all MIPS III opcodes, supports pseudo-instructions (BGT (Greater Than), BLT (Lesser Than), BGE (Greater or Equal To), BLE (Less or Equal To, and a few more).

http://forum.pj64-emu.com/showthread.php?t=4770

As an example, I written a small ASM code for one of my favorite Mario games: Super Mario 64. The Nintendo64 runs on the MIPS R4300i CPU, so I decided to write code for my fav game. Here I written a small shop asm code:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhMHcVUr5Yc

I also written a syntax highlighter for Notepad++ so it's even easier:

To summarize it:
!name: sets a label
!name in branches or jumps calls a label and calculates the address (each instruction is four bytes long, now do the rest)
[VarName]: #/%/0x/$value // Sets a define/variable and can be used in any immediate instruction calling for values.
@VarName calls the define.
.org tells the assembler where to place the code.
.ascii/.asciiz puts ascii string (.asciiz is zero-terminated, basically puts a 00 byte at the end of the string) into file.

I post some other progress here too soon, if anyone is interested. Assemblers can be fun.

What annoys me the most are the idiots who try to be smart asses and tell you how experienced they are while they actually got no clue and then call you immature. It happened here a few times already in the forums and pretty much in real life, but I don't really react to it because then I would set my level to theirs and even prove their point. (lol'd especially at the people telling me how PDFs work and how ppl can include viruses in it etc. while they actually got no idea how executables are even bound in PDFs or completely forget the fact that the user is asked before any executable is executed on the PDF.)

@Messiaen: You are aware that even PDF files can contain viruses, right? Usually structured in a way to exploit some vulnerability in the acrobat reader to execute a malicious code.

Did you even read what I posted? I never said that you couldn't put a virus into it. Also, the link I posted says that you can embed executables in your PDF documents, however the reader will always be warned before opening it and therefore he can decide whether he wants to open it or not. If the reader still continues, it's his own fault. But let's not argue about this. We all know that this PDF file doesn't contain a virus.

On Topic:
Well, whatever the sense of this pseudo-code style is, maybe it's useful for someone.

That's certainly not a working java, rather a pseudo code. Also considering that this is OP's first post, I would say it is safe to assume it's a virus and not to download it (my phone doesn't care).

It's a pdf (if someone really embed an application in it, the reader would be noticed: http://www.enfocus.com/en/support/knowledge-base/can-a-pdf-document-contain-a-virus?Page=31) text file containing some nonsense which is not java code, yet OP says it is or implies it by the title of the thread and the name of the file. Obviously it's not going to run on anything, it won't compile. So it also isn't a virus. If someone tried to compile it, it would error already right after public class On.Read. The topic is therefore nonsense, as well as the code.

Wow all this forum has is negativity bro. Yes i met masters. I practiced wicce since 6, discovered unreal magick at 17 when i disocvered Joseph P,azo and Jobet Claudio. Masters of psionics, santeria, chaos, voodoo and tons more. They have given me courses and training but my main school of thought is Bardon, everything else is just an assest to accelerate my progress and every opinion is just an asshole, everyone got one. But i follow bardon and anything else is just that an opinion. Cant be listening and following fools who have no clue wher i been, who am , what i do......and quick too judge me as a troll....or id be lead astray.

Well, you definitely don't write like as you were following Bardon. You're harsh and rude towards those who tried helping you. That's the complete opposite of what Bardon actually wanted the magickian to achieve and you're not going to reach anything if you follow Bardons system with your current behavior, it only would lead to failure. You can leave every time if you don't like the community. Honestly, I don't even know why you're so angry and rude. You were the one who started this by writing to someone that he got mental problems.

So, explain to me. If we all misunderstand you, why are you acting rude? This here for example:
No offence bro, its obvious you got mental problems, my last post were just targeting those who were actually thinking of following your advice like who da fuk r u to give me advice? My mom and dad dont even have the right for that ....

Was this necessary? No, it wasn't.

PsiChat this Friday at 12pm in the PsiWarriors chatroom! Be There!

We will be discussing telekinesis.

I've been a member of this site a while now. Not because I like it, but to watch how it goes. To be honest, I actually came from MyTK which was closed and turned into PsiWarriors. And the site didn't change at all. I'm very sorry, but there is still an overflow of topics with anime fictive techniques which won't do anything in reality. Sure, many psionic techniques are partly inspired from animes, but they exaggerate and completely take the anime concept and transfer it to reality. It won't work.

None of you seems to have any idea what they're talking about, lots of misinformation, etc. The site didn't change. Yeah, layout, design, etc. changed, but that's it. The community stayed the same: Dumb, naive and lost in fictive worlds. Don't take this as a personal attack, this is honestly just my view of it. PsiWarriors is the #1 worst Psi community you can find on the Internet. Just a while ago I've been reading in your "chatroom" some people discussing that they could destroy their house just with their pure mind.

The "representation" of the site, "Spirit Talks" annoys me the most. I just say: His videos. Watch them and facepalm.

To sum it up:
PsiWarriors is one huge mess and, for the ones who really practice psionics, should be closed forever. Already the name "PsiWarriors" is implicating that you're some kind of "Warrior" or whatever fighting against some war. Oh, I totally forget about that: The talk about an upcoming psionic war. This was one of the most funniest topics and even proved more that PsiWarriors should be closed. Forever.

Greetings,
Messiaen.

Hello and Goodbye / My (late) Introduction - A psion and hermetican
« on: June 21, 2014, 12:34:23 PM »
Hello, dear community. This introduction comes a bit late and I realized it just now and wanted to catch up on this.
First off, I'm 16 years old and work with hermetics, psionics, kabbalah and all this stuff. I'm pretty dynamic and diversified in this, because of hermetics. Hermetics basically is not 'one' subject, but involves all other subjects too, which later made me understand why hermetics is also called an universal teaching. I always explain my psionic phenomena by hermetics (after Franz Bardon). I like Bardons metaphysical system and it basically explains me any kind of phenomena I have ever occured(may it be from physical, mental or astral nature), which even surprised myself. This universal key is therefore my main paradigm, my main philosophy of the world and anything. I'm currently starting with hermetics, but learned the theory part pretty good, but the practical part is more important at the end.

In psionics, I've been doing complex constructs, later explained the phenomena by hermetics (bardons metaphysical system) such like the psi-ball and shell. Basically, the expanding and warm feeling psi-ball between my hands is actually the projection of the electric fluid and the shell is the exact opposite, it's magnetic fluid, contractive and feels cold. If I now surround the contracting shell around the expanding psi-ball and the dose of the shell is about equal to the expansion force of the psi-ball, the psi-ball with the shell begins slightly to vibrate and is now a kind of electromagnetic fluid. First off, before some misunderstand, the terms "electric", "magnetic" and "fluid" do NOT refer to electricity and magnetism or fluids in physics. Basically, the physical phenomena of electricity and magnetism are only analogue(not equal) to the philosophical principles (electric and magnetic fluid).

I've been searching for a very long time for a community, which is serious about psionics, magick and (if we talk about the specific magick paradigm, only a less amount use) hermetics. When I was around 8 or 9, these kind of topics interested me already and I found the community called PsiPog. In that time, I wasn't really able to speak good english because english isn't my mother tongue + I was still too young to explain these kind of things in clear and detailled words. Only a short time later, PsiPog closed and disappeared. While then I studied myself and bought books and read them. Then I tried searching again for communities as I had very specific, theoretical questions which books couldn't answer me that easily. I found then PsiWikia, but short time later I had to realize that this community is so full of half-truths and charlatans that I never decided to stay there. Only short time later, I discovered myTK which was quite good but somehow it also missed certain points. Later myTK turned into PsiWarriors. PsiWarriors is even more horrible than any other community I've joined yet. Every user literally 'bragged' how cool they were with their abilities or were posting psi instructions which are completely impossible to practise in reality (because most of these fake instructions are taken out from popular animes and mangas such like Naruto, Bleach and DBZ) and even again completely missed the point of what psionics really is. I truly have to say, the first time I saw PsiWarriors, I thought they were a kind of roleplaying community. But they actually take their own words serious. This also led me leaving PsiWarriors.

At the end, I found this community here, Vsociety. To my surprise, this community is really good, far better than the most ones I've seen yet. I'm not overreacting, I'm saying this from heart as the most communities have disappointed me. So, I decided to stay here as this community provides really good information, I've read the articles and I'm surprised how many wise people we have here.

I hope we all will have fun here.

Greetings,
Messiaen.
