Martial Arts / Wushu anybody?
« on: May 28, 2005, 01:47:20 PM »
Does anybody here do Wushu, i've been trying to read up on it, and take a couple of classes to see if i like it or not, but i can't find any good results on search engines.  If there are any particular styles that you would recomend please list them here aswell.

Also if you happen to know of any Wushu schools in the UK, that would be great aswell.

Thank you.

Psionics / A Comprehensive Psi Course

I would also as Tsumaru has stated, like to hear testimonies of people who have already taken this course.  To see what they found usefull (if anything), and did it help them progress at all?

Maybe even start a testimony thread.  If you do not wish to share this information with everybody, then just send it in a PM.
Thank you.

I started a topic a long while ago on deja-uv theories, i think you will find quite a few different explanations from people on the boards here, along with my theory.  I hope they will help clarify matters.

Just a couple of questions.
  • Roughly how many pupils will you be taking?
  • How do you decide who to take on board, is it first come first served?
  • Do we have to have a previous history on Veritas, or a certain amount of participation on the forums beforehand, to participate in the class?

Thank you in advance.

You stole my reply Neti Neti.  :p

I also do not class myself as anything.  I am who i am, i do what i do, i do not wish to be grouped.  I do not have any belief's anymore.  I no longer have need for religion.  Everyone is individual, all different, thats what makes this world so interesting.

Questions & Suggestions / Suggestion about profiles...
« on: August 31, 2004, 09:17:38 AM »
Just a suggestion.  A lot of the time it is hard to work out what sex someone is by their name on forums.  As to not insult people in posts, i think it would be really usefull if you had a gender select in the user cp, profile options.  I've seen this on other forums, such as the ones from  It apears under the location, and how many posts they have, in the mini-profile at the side of posts.

Please tell me what you think.

That was the method of payment i was hoping for.  When i find out the address and other such details, i will contribute.

Neo, was there really any need to be offensive, Rafnul wasn't even aiming that statement at you.  How was he to know you grandmother is dead.  I don't mean any offense to you, i just think that was a bit harsh.

Public Classes / Class in the Making.

Sorry if this has previously come up earlier in the topic.  Will you be taking beginners into the class, or is that what it is intended for?  Also, are we required to read the articles on magick, here at veritas beforehand?

PSI987, have you ever watched the program Derren Brown Mind Control?  If so on one of his episodes, he did what you asked, he used some form of telepathic suggestion to make the man see straight through him.

First off, he went into the room, with a table and a box on it.  They both sat down (Derren and the other man), Derren started to talk to the man, i think he started to suggest things to him through the use of words.  He then went out of the room, put a coat on, a hat, and a bandage round his head.  Next he went back into the room, the man at this point could still clearly see him.  He slowy started taking the hat off, the coat e.t.c.  He started walking around and tapping the man on the shoulder and so-on.  Then he got the box, inside was a doll, and started making it dance around on the table, by this time the man was terrified.

After he had his fun messing around, he said something to him, to question what he was seeing (or more correctly, wasn't seeing).  He then was able to see Derren.  What i find strange is, Derren believes he only uses psychology, to do all the things he does.

Here is the site for further information:

Other / Meditation through minimalism...
« on: August 31, 2004, 06:25:35 AM »
I find music helps take the focus off everything around you.  When i listen to music now, i automatically go into some state of meditation.  I feel the music, not just hear it, i feel the energy of it.

If you have ever listened to progressive or minimalistic music, some find it helps (as do i) the process of medatation aswell.  The slight changes become un-noticable, sending you into a deep trance like state.

When studying minimalism in school, I had to listen to piece's of music that lasted a very long time with very little change.  But as the music slowly starts to build up, when you would normally be focusing on the music, you start to loose all awareness, you cannot tell where each bar begins or ends.  So instead of focusing or completely loosing focus, you become a state of inbetween.  Effectively you feel you are floating. (I believe Darkduck mentioned something about this inbetween state, can't remember where).

Now if you combine listening to this type of music, and the 4 hold breathing method,  you begin to feel a sort of emptiness.  In this state nothing matters.  I've also found through doing this it has helped my working with energy dramatically.  This form of meditation works much better for me than basic forms of meditation, but what works for me may not work for the next person.  I suggest you give this  a try and see what the outcome is for you.  If you notice any changes, if it wokred or did not work for you, please post them here.  Thank you.

If you wish to find some minimalist music, i suggest you google for these composers:
  • Philip Glass
  • Steve Reich
  • John Adams
  • Terry Riley

Body Energy Arts / Beginners Aikido
« on: August 30, 2004, 03:45:42 PM »
I've been practicing Aikido since January this year.  I am really enjoying it.  But you do need to put in time and effort, as with everything really.

As for finding it difficult to pick up, i found it came naturally to me.  Aikdio is all about flowing.  I suppose it depends on the person really.  Also what Watarimono said has a lot to do with it.  You find a good teacher, then you become more interested in what you are doing.  If i were you i would give it a go, just see how you like it.  You really need to experiance it first hand.

Here are the list of the UKA's clubs.  They are the official Aikdio association in the UK.  The club i train with is at the bottom of the page, i am not sure if there is a club that is near you on here, but it's worth a check:
Also for any other information about aikido, if you are still not sure visit:

I hope this helps you.

Spirituality / Something to consider
« on: June 15, 2004, 09:02:21 AM »
Good and evil is just a perception.  To someone, killing people may be good, but to you it is bad.  To many people in this world it is bad.  There is no good or evil in my opinion, although i say this i do not wish to kill or harm anyone.  I am merely stating a point.

Still along side the topic title (i did not want to start a new thread just for this).  Wasn't Silverdawn supposed to be writing a telepathy manual?  Its just i havn't heard anything on this in a while.  Is it still in progress or has the idea been scrapped?
