Wow... could someone translate that using a grammar structure I can understand?

How does a rose being a rose contradict the matter of the rose existing at the givin location and time?

Perception is the only truth we know on earth, so speaking about the material plain... you are reiterating what I'm saying.  If we venture beyond that, then we are like the kid who opens his mouth and proves he's stupid instead of keeping it shut and making everyone guess.

You are denying the rose.  Even if I believe that there is a rose, there may not be.  Even if you deny the rose, it still may be there.

You are reiterating my point and don't even recognize it.  The possibility of the rose being there or even a god-figure existing is relative to the human mind because of many reasons unknown to me but a prime example is a "logical" thinker whose name I would like to "cough" protect in this thread.  Truth to the human mind is relative.  The Truth that no living mortal seems to have come to know is well the Truth, which is not relative to the human mind.  The rose stays a rose but the existence of it is in the eyes of the beholder.  Ironic how roses are sometimes equated to beauty.  Shall I continue with this thought, it truly isn't necessary.

A is A... A  simple explanation for the world, right?  Okay, let's break it down.  A basketball is a basketball, a rose is a rose.  Now, what if within my own personal mind there is no rose... is there still a rose?  No, there wouldn't be.  To you, there is a rose and it is justifiably by picking this rose up, correct?  Well, since there is no rose (to me) you pick nothing up.  Now where is this "rose" you speak of?   In your hand?  Of course not because it is no justifiably there... to me.  So to calm you down I wipe my hand where the "rose" is and feel nothing, while you argue with me that the rose bent because I hit it while I swiped my hand and knocked it on it's side, there is no rose to me.  So who is right?  Is there really a rose...?

So does this make truth relative?  If so, then the concepts of good/evil/morals/ethics are relative.
This entire reasoning is based on flawed assumptions.
If you pick up a rose, then it in your hand, regardless of whether you pantingly deny it.  Reality is not fazed by perception.

Who is denying the rose is there... certainly not the person that picked it up...  when no logic is used to even comprehend the situation being stated, all argument is lost on their part, henceforth, until you see the flaw in you logic or lack-there-of, then how can you keep your own candle lit but with denial.

I don't think it is the wiccan wannabe's, but possibly the "rebels" trying to be satanic because they feel their parents have done them wrong along with the rest of society, and so on...

I don't have time to read the whole thread but it seems that you have taken what was written dogmatically.  If this is the case, then try to read into what someone is saying or has written.  If I am wrong, forgive me, forget this post and move one.  -- Have a nice day.

The inverted pentagram and inverted cross all were early Satanic symbols, because their goal was literally to mock Christianity.  Because the Christian interpretation of the Pentagram is the "body and wounds of Christ," they inverted it to represent loss of inhibition and to loose one's decency.

The bit about the inverted cross... wasn't Saint Peter crucified upside down because he didn't feel he deserved the honor of being crucified the same way as Christ.

btw, it's good to be back.  Hope some people remember me from my ever-so-few posts.  :)

Haven't finished it yet, but it reminds me a great deal of Bardon's Initiation into Hermetics , but much easier to understand... although, looking back, his wasn't to hard either, but a nice job none-the-less.

Aurora: the modern laws do say that  matter cannot be created or destroyed, but also say that it can be subdivided and change form.  If you apply this principle to the fact that there is so many different elements in the air, it could be quite possible.  However, maybe not probable.

When GhostWolf says "a rose by any other name!"   I think he is refering to the statement "A rose by any other name smells just as sweet" or "A rose by any other name is stilla rose" or some thing to that effect.  I think he/she just means is that the qabbalah by any other name, or such, is still the basic concept.  Tell me if I'm wrong, GhostWolf.
