Ok. I have sort of an odd question, and I dont want anybody to laugh at me for asking this. Ive had that happen before.

But is it possible to "feel" someones soul?

A few days ago, I tried linking with a friend of mine. I succeeded, but I felt something within him. Something that I could only guess was his soul. I described it to him, and he told me that I was "pretty d*** accurate". His words of course.

First of all, how is this possible? Second of all, How in the world did I do it, assuming the answer to the first question is yes...

Please, dont laugh at this. Ive asked someone before on another website and I got laghed at.

Sounds like empathy (ability to feel and know others emotions). Emapthy can come off as similar to telepathy or just reading energy signatures. Uncontrolled empathy will make you 'become' their emotions if you will but with proper control you can easily read people without being hit with an emotional overload.

I don't know if you were reading your friends soul or not, but you obviously were able to read deeper aspects of his psyche and energetic signature.
"Spirit is in a state of grace forever.
Your reality is only spirit.
Therefore you are in a state of grace forever."

"As relfections of the Source, we are little gods."

"...part of me doesn't want to believe that auto-eroticism while crushing on a doodle (sigil) could manifest a check in the mail box, but hey, it did."

"Everybody laughs the same language."

Possible? I thought it was positively axiomatic.

I mean... that's the basis of sympathetic magic. You feel things out that can then be mentally associated. An entity's name (summoning), a point in the future the events of which you would like to examine (divination), an abstract concept (luck spells, money spells, love spells)...

Well, that also depends on how good a judge he is of himself, of course. But it sounds like you're on the right track.

self evident
Web definitions
axiomatic: evident without proof or argument; "an axiomatic truth"; "we hold these truths to be self-evident"

A sort of simple way of putting it is that, people exist cause you can see them. You don't need to try and prove it because the proof is self-evident.

What Mars said, yup yup. I mean, I never wondered if feeling out was possible, because I thought it was feeling out that makes almost everything else in magic(k) possible.
